    @BradXmagic
    From where? You need to specify.

    Put target creature card with converted
    mana cost equal to the number of lands you
    control from your hand onto the
    battlefield tapped.
  • @Faiths_Guide
    I feel so stupid right now, how could I forget?
  • @BradXmagic
    Don't feel stupid! Then I'll have to feel stupid for the millions of simpler mistakes I've made! XD

    @BradXmagic
    To balance your card more, I would do the following!

    Put target creature card with converted mana cost equal to the number of lands you
    control from your hand onto the battlefield tapped. It's an illusion in addition to it's other types and has "Whenever this creature becomes the target of a spell or ability, sacrifice it."

    It also suits the theme of the card! :)

    Hi, everyone. First time poster (I think)

    Quick question - does anyone think this is under-costed, over-costed, just right? I've put some musings in the comments.

    Thanks!
  • @Animist
    I think it feels kinda lackluster in terms of uniqueness and strength
  • Although, it can be strong in a mill deck I suppose!

    @modnation675

    bring it down to {u}{b}?
  • edited January 2017
    I'm just imagining the following examples! (Second is thy preference.)
    Edit: Preference is Skulk/Dread

    -----
    Returned Student
    (UB) Creature - Zombie Monk
    2/2
    ---
    Skulk, prowess
    -----

    -----
    Returned Student
    (UB) Creature - Zombie Monk
    3/2
    ---
    Skulk, dread
    -----

    @modnation675

    Hmm, though there is a slight disconnect with either of those in pumping up a creature that has skulk. Like if you cast Thoughtseize before you attack the skulk ability becomes potentially less relevant whereas with Prowess and Dread together it gets +2/+2.

    I've brought it down to {u}{b} for now.

    Is this worded right? I think it is but I'm not positive.

    Just found an art I liked and made a card for it. Inspired by @Faiths_Guide's bonding steeds set:http://mtgcardsmith.com/user/Faiths_Guide/sets/9354
    If you haven't seen the set, go check it out! It's really cool!

    Hello everyone, I just made a unique card to support thy Commander/Modern combo leader Uryxes!

    I really hope this one does well as there aren't enough cards that have effects of this nature! :)

    Thanks for the major help on recent cards everyone! I really appreciate it.

    Balancing on these two dimir mythic rares? Fair? Which one would you prefer for e.g. a custom cube? Thanks in advance! :)

    Does the last strike and low toughness make up for his buff abilities?

    Hello everyone, I'm trying a variation of the Soulbond mechanic out! I would be very grateful if anyone has ideas for improvements.

    Hope this card is designed properly! I've been making cards that support Commander and the enchantment archetype lately.

    I made a commander that I want to work using Gold tokens, feedback would be appreciated.

    @modnation675 I really like the card, the only thing about it is that it's a shaman and a warrior. When I think of a shaman, I think of healing/recursion or buffing your own creatures. I don't think of a warrior fighting.

    @BradXmagic
    Edit: Shaman Warriors exist in rare cases!
    http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Search/Default.aspx?action=advanced&subtype=+["Shaman"]+["Warrior"]

    Also I'm leaving feedback on your card shortly, since it is weak and as such unplayable. I understand you ran out of card space though!

    Hey guys, uh, what do you think of those creatures?

    image image image
  • @modnation675 Thanks for the feedback! And I had no idea that there were such creatures already existing in the world of MTG.

    @Sanjay666 I like them, but on Belial, the text should read

    "Whenever a player casts a spell, that player gains life equal to that spell's converted mana cost. Then each other player that did not gain life this way, loses that much life."

    I think.

    What do you guys think about this? I had an idea that I thought was cool. Also, the flavor text is awesome. image
  • @Gelectrode

    I can't think of a WotC card that has a similar effect so I'm not really sure on the correct wording, though I might go for something like: "Whenever you cast an instant or sorcery spell [from your hand], counter that spell and you gain 3 life."

    The bit in brackets is just if you were intending flashback spells etc. to still act as normal.

    too strong? easy to break? hard to balance this sort of thing.

    Edit: Removed sorry @Animist I didn't read it properly.
