    Ayrt: http://mtgcardsmith.com/view/ayrt-artificers-instructor?list=user

    And his Gauntlets: http://mtgcardsmith.com/view/ayrts-gauntlets

    Mini Lore:
Ayrt is an experienced Gnome, knowledgeable in all the aspects of artifice...erring. He tutors his students on the intricacies of design and fabrication.

Those that fall asleep in class receive, at no extra charge, tutoring in a special course: How Ayrt's Gauntlets work.

    (Gnomes are underprivileged.)
  • @Nicholas_Bolas the artifact is not a creature, the only card that is actually able to compete is @Faiths_Guide
  • @9DeathReaper You never said that it could not be a creature.
  • @9DeathReaper

So at the risk of sounding like a broken record; Another clutter "contest". I'd start off by fixing the formatting issues with your example cards, mate. I'd gladly enter, but the contest has to be cohesive and not just a bunch of random drivel. Maybe conclude the contests you're already running before you go about making more?
  • @Grimshac

It really wasn't that hard to understand. Just a little time and consideration and I'm sure you would've gotten the gist of it.
  • @Faiths_Guide

It's not so much about, but more the fact that this guy has a million contests running to "help him with his set". He's just being lazy and asking people to make stuff for him, all while he can't seem to make a coherent design. Some people ought to spend a little longer designing their cards before they reach out to others for help.

Asking for help is fine, but goddamn it, you have to make an effort first.
  • @Grimshac

You're entitled to your opinion on that topic. However, don't criticize his contest formatting just to make your point. Try a little reasoning first.
  • @Faiths_Guide

What? His formatting is all over the place and it's completely part of the point. If he wants "help with his set", then he should start out by making proper cards - There are plenty of nice people on the site who offer help if asked. And those who just help if asked. Like me.
All these repeat contests are nothing but one of two things:

1: He's bored and is making random contests
2: He is too lazy to make his own cards properly and are asking other people to do it for him.

Go into his submission history and you'll see it's all "i need help with my mtg chaos set". Seriously.
  • @Grimshac

Regardless of your thought process as to how he's arrived at his current form of application it isn't our jobs to needlessly criticize. If there was some constructiveness to the comment it wouldn't be so disgruntling (think of yourself in his place).

Besides it may be as simple as that he is new and learning his way around the site is all.

To go back to the original point, his formatting, etc., can't be all that bad if I, without any struggle, was easily able to ascertain his exact meaning.

Anyway, I am not attempting to argue with you, only to point out that maybe we should be lending a helping hand to the "new guy" instead of throwing around insults to his mastery of grammatical perfection.

I've said my piece on this topic. Peace.
  • I would have to lean toward @Faiths_Guide on this as well. We have a lot of younger users and people who don't use english as their first language. I think the purpose of the forums is to promote dialog, which is always great to see, but also to give people a safe environment to have fun and hopefully improve their card making skills. And just like Magic players, we have Hardcore by the book people and we have ultra casual "who cares" people.
With the new "Just for fun" category, we now have a way to seperate the two, and I think the mods will do their best to keep challenges where they belong.
  • @Corwinnn

I don't want any misunderstandings here; It's not that I'm advocating against letting new people join and easing in - That is the last thing I want to do. I'm arguing against spamming random contests to make people make cards for you as it is low-effort content.

anyway, we're really Hi-jacking the thread, so I won't be replying here anyone. Sorry to the author of the thread for crowding the discussion with off-topic stuff.
  • Faiths guide wins and Nicholas bolas got second because they took this seriously msg me for winnings
