    Condemn by KJMartin,
Condemn [Cost] ([Cost], {t}: Put a condemnation counter on target creature.)
AUTHOR'S NOTE: Then it can have abilities like 'Creatures with condemnation counters on them can't attack or block...' and so on.
    --TheMechanix version
Condemn N - [Cost] ([Cost], {t}: Put N condemnation counters on target creature. As long as it has a condemnation counter on it, it has defender and "At the beginning of your upkeep, remove a condemnation counter from this creature.")
TOMIGON'S NOTE: Using time counters instead of condemnation counters makes the text shorter. But it makes weird synergy with other cards that uses time counters.

    Shadowmeld by Superman101
Shadowmeld [Cost] ([Cost]: This creature can't be blocked this turn.)

Camouflage by LukeMTG, modified by TheMechanix
Camouflage {x}{cost} ({x}{cost}: This creature becomes the copy of another target creature with converted mana cost X until end of turn. Camouflage only if this creature is attacking or blocking.)

    Animate by Kickash
Animate [Cost] ([Cost], Sacrifice a creature: Until your next turn, this permanent becomes a creature with power and toughness X/X, where X is the sacrificed creature's power.)

Resurrect by PhDJamesauce, modified by TheMechanix
Resurrect [Cost] ([Cost]: Return this creature from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it. It gains "When this creature would leave the battlefield, exile it.")

Upgrade by MaverickGV, modified by TheMechanix
Upgrade [Cost] ([Cost], Exile this card from your hand: Target artifact creature you control gains all abilities of this card. When that creature dies, put this card from exile to the battlefield under your control. Upgrade only as a sorcery.)

    Navigate by sorinjace
Navigate [Cost] ([Cost], Exile _____: Reveal the top card of your library until you reveal a land card. Put that card onto the battlefield and the rest on the bottom of your library in any order.)
NOTE: Unfinished mechanic. "______" part can say "this card from your hand", "this card from your graveyard", "this creature". In this challenge, you can decide!
    --Version 2
Navigate [Cost] ([Cost], {t}: Exile this creature. Draw a card. At the beginning of your next upkeep, return this card from exile to the battlefield under your control. Navigate only as a sorcery.)

    Thwart by TezzeretofCarmot21
Thwart [Cost] ([Cost]: Counter this spell. Any player may activate this ability.)

    Insidious by TezzeretofCarmot21
Insidious [Cost] ([Cost]: Exile this card from your hand. You may cast it for as long as it remains exiled.)

    Reverberate by KalamMekhar
    Reverberate by KalamMekhar
Reverberate N - [Cost] ([Cost]: Exile this card from your hand with N wave counters on it. At the beginning of your upkeep, remove a wave counter from it. If you do, you may cast a copy of this card without paying its mana cost.)
    --Version 2
Reverberate N - [Cost] ([Cost]: Exile this card from your hand with N wave counters on it. At the beginning of your upkeep, remove a wave counter from it. If you do, you may cast a copy of this card without paying its mana cost. Activate this only any time you could cast a sorcery.)
    ---Version 3 (Static)
Reverberate N - [Cost] (Rather than cast this card from your hand, pay [Cost] and exile it with N wave counters on it. At the beginning of your upkeep, remove a wave counter from it. If you do, you may cast a copy of this card without paying its mana cost.)

    Barter by Corwinnn
Barter [Cost] ([Cost]: Create a colorless Clue artifact token with "{2}, Sacrifice this artifact: Draw a card." Target opponent creates two colorless Treasure artifact tokens with "{t}, Sacrifice this artifact: Add one mana of any color." You and that opponent may exchange control of these tokens.)
AUTHOR'S NOTE: This is followed by an effect if you and your opponent exchange tokens.
    --Version 2
Barter [Cost] ([Cost], {t}: Choose any number of artifacts you control and any number of artifacts target opponent controls. That player may choose to exchange control of those artifacts.)

    Tribal crew by Lastjustice
Tribal crew N - 'Creature type' (Tap any number of untapped 'Creature type' creatures you control with total power N or more: This Vehicle becomes an artifact creature until end of turn.)
    ..or..
    _____ crew by Jarnefeldt
'Creature type' crew N (Tap any number of untapped 'Creature type' creatures you control with total power N or more: This Vehicle becomes an artifact creature until end of turn.)

Predation by Bellycuss, modified by TheMechanix
Predation [Cost] ([Cost]: If this creature would deal combat damage to a player this turn, assign that damage to a creature that player controls instead.)
EDITED: Sorry everyone, I saw this card ( http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?multiverseid=6606 ) and found a small mistake in this wording. Here's the correct version.
Predation [Cost] ([Cost]: If this creature would deal combat damage to a player this turn, it assigns that damage to a creature that player controls instead.)
But if you use old version of this on your card, it doesn't get minus point.

    Metamorphose by Tomigon
Metamorphose [Cost] ([Cost], {t}: Exile a creature card with power equal to this creature's power from your library, then shuffle. This creature becomes a copy of that card, except it has this ability.)

    Discover by Shadow123
Discover [Cost] ([Cost]: Draw a card for each creature on the battlefield that doesn't share a creature type with this creature.)
    --TheMechanix version
Discover [Cost] ([Cost], {t}: Draw a card. Discover only if a creature that doesn't share a creature type with this creature enters the battlefield under your control this turn.)

  • Ok, I'm joining just because my game designer mind is going crazy!
  • @Bowler218
Awesome! I like crazy designer mind!
  • @Tomigon: I'm wondering if I should edit Reverberate to say "Activate this only any time you may cast a sorcery". What do you think?

    @KalamMekhar
I was thinking about that too. I added 2 new versions of that mechanic to the list.
    --Version 2
Reverberate N - [Cost] ([Cost]: Exile this card from your hand with N wave counters on it. At the beginning of your upkeep, remove a wave counter from it. If you do, you may cast a copy of this card without paying its mana cost. Activate this only any time you could cast a sorcery. )

    Of course!

    .
  • Can I use multiple mechanics on a card?
  • @Bowler218 - You can! However, my advice is not to muddle it up too much. Keyword Soup isn't as tasty as some people think!
  • @Tomigon I am honored to have a mechanic of mine up there! I’ll start making cards for this contest soon

Card withdrawal. Sorry for the trouble.
  • @MEGAElixer & @Derfaulehelmut - It seems that the mechanics in your cards are not from this mechanix challenge.
  • Are mine ok?
  • @TenebrisNemo I'm confused. I have never entered this challenge before. Did someone think of the same ability? If so, I apologize.
  • @MEGAElixer - No, what I meant is that you need to use one of the 15 mechanics presented in this challenge in your entry, see @Tomigon's 2nd comment from the top.

  • @NicoStoner
good idea, but the name and text box name don't match. But other than that, good card.
  • I'll fix that
  • @Bowler218
You don't put reminder texts after mechanics. It's ok, but sometimes there are two or three different versions of the mechanics with the same name. In that case, I want you to let me know which version you used. Your first card uses Condemn mechanic but I posted two versions of it. Which one did you use?
I recommend you to include reminder texts if possible. People can give you advice if they know how the card works. Also It shows you how complicated the card is.
  • I can put the mechanics used under the link as I've remade a lot of cards lately.

  • @TenebrisNemo Sorry! I got rid of the comment. I completely misunderstood.
