  • // @sanjaya666 you must be very careful when attempting to communicate your visions. If you state anything you saw in the Stargazium on accident, it will kill whoever hears it! If you try to use this curse intentionally, you will die instead.

"I am Mastiffa Oklein, your crew stole a shipment of dwarven barrels that was meant to be delivered to my new inn. As -people of business- we know we can't stop the flow of income and I feel that engaging on combat and lose people still gets us on a lose situation, so, I propose a 25% of profit to you of each drink we sell and free services to your crewmembers. In return, you guys keep stealing OTHER shipments and luxuries and we can sell it on a -secondary market-."

After the battle against the mysterious being, Verth set off to continue his investigation, while Joseph continued towards the plains of Racrion, hoping to make it in time. However. as though it were a twist of fate, Joseph is found dead...
  • // random plot twists be like
  • The main story behind that part of the Saga is being carried out in Private Messages. We don’t need anyone spoiling details or trying to give hints as to who Verth and Vryx are looking for. Trust me. There was a lead up to this.
  • Ohhhhh, ok, also Tommia is there anybody who controls the Six?
  • edited September 2019
That would be me. To keep to the core story, I’ll be controlling the Six, Archdemon Khantsievth, and any other closely related characters that are not player characters.
  • I freaking love technology. Text box just blinked the entire battle between Xataxji and the demons, just as I finished typing it.

    WELP.....
  • @Tommia (Always copy the work before posting it.)
  • (I did, then I accidentally copied something else >_<)

As the demons bore down on the two, a wave of sand erupted from Ugalon’s blade, momentarily disrupting the demons’ attack. From the sand emerged three great beings, rearing and eager to fight for their masters. Without hesitation, the whole pack ganged up on the lesser demons, decimating two of them in the first seconds of the battle. They drew in the power of the demons, then turned to face the other two of the lesser demons, leaving one of the greater ones wide open.

Xataxji was able to prepare his spell, this time, a display of power for this being he was eager to meet. With a flick of his wrist, a snap of his finger, and a crushing motion, the demon in front of him was pressed in by sand, surrounded and suffocated in the air. The sand packed, pressing harder and harder until a series of snaps, barely audible, emerged from within. The crushing continued, until eventually a boulder of sand had formed around the demon, still airborne, packed hard enough to solidify.

The beasts turned to fight the second set of demons, but this time, they weren’t so lucky. While they managed to gang up and slaughter the first one, they were helpless as the second demon, joined by the last greater demon, carried two of them into the sky. Blood rained as they were torn to shreds, defenseless against being carried into the sky. The last beast tried to find a way to get to them, but it couldn’t find a rock face high enough to catch them out of the air. The demons descended again, but with a newfound rage, the last beast jumped and killed the lesser demon. The greater one noticed, and pinned down the last of the beasts, leaving them helpless against a rock as they died.

Xataxji was confident that the demon inside of his boulder was nothing more than pressed-on bits and pieces by now. With a motion, the boulder rose higher into the air, and the greater demon turned towards him. The demon, however, was powerless. With one last flick, Xataxji slammed it out of the air and crushed it against a rock. He pressed more and more, until everything gave way. The demon. The sand beneath the rock. Even the boulder itself cracked from the force Xataxji was exerting upon it, and all that was left of either of the greater demons was a fine, bloody powder...

Alyssa took a second , but a quick second, because the deal is so much interesting....

"That's an interesting deal ! I like it, Mastiffa and I accept immedialty . But how did we recognize your boats ? Do you have a symbol or anything like that ?"

  • @DrakeGladis You heed the warning of the sign. Out of your vast crew of 45, plus yourself, only 11 are allowed entry. Not even the half elves are welcome. You order the rest of them to watch over the ship and the surrounding area as you make your way forward. As you pass through the first gateway, built in a wall surrounding the main island, the world around you seems to shift. Everything suddenly becomes radiant, and you are at ease. The sun is in the sky again, with no signs of the moon. Music fills your ears to accompany the instruments in the distance, with no apparent source. Drops of dew gently fall from the sky. The stars are visible against a vibrant backdrop of blue and purple hues, and it feels like you’re in an entirely different realm.

A wolfkin, dressed in oriental clothing has a close eye on your party as you pass through the woods. Their eyes meet yours, and it is readily apparent that, while they are calm and collected, they will strike the moment they feel it is necessary.

    image

An etherial deer passes through you. It is grazing the soft grass beneath your feet as you continue to walk through the elaborate passageway leading to the castle.

”Come forth, brothers and sisters. Come forth.”

A group of elves, armed with lances, open a door to let your group through. One of your crewman stops to ask about a latrine, but the guard pushes them onward.

“You may relieve yourself once you make your presence with our master. Until then, don’t even think about soiling our land, or I will soil your hopes and dreams.”

    image

You continue through the path in the forest until you reach a moat, with no drawbridge. Two elves block the way, while two wolfkin stand on the other side. Before you stands the first floor of this massive building.

“State your name,” One of the elves demands, staring at you with her lance at the ready. You tell her your name, and she informs the wolfkin. “He’s here. Party of twelve.”

“Enerew is present. Sending the bridge.” The wolfkin on the other side cast a spell, and a bridge of light is sent across the moat.

“We will escort you into Eidawyha. Go ahead of us. Single file.” Were they expecting you? If so, how do they know you? Either way, it looks seem like you don’t have a choice in the matter anymore, so you continue onwards. You enter a great town at the foot of the castle, bustling with life. There are only two races among you, and yet, the entire town seems diverse. Fortune tellers. Traveling merchants. Curators of strange artifacts. You are led up a great set of stairs, each leading to new parts of town, until eventually, you reach another moat. This one protects the castle.

    “Brothers and sisters. Welcome home.”

Another bridge is created, and you are guided through the massive courts of the marble castle, going up even more stairs. Your crewmen and women are exhausted, but eventually, you reach it. The Master’s Chamber.

    “Cleyeft. Enerew is here.”

Before you may not be a wolfkin, but it is indeed a wolf. In the center of the room lies a powerful being, the master of this civilization.

    image

“Enerew... It has been a long time, hasn’t it? Years ago, you were washed away to society. But today, you have returned. Our kingdom ran corrupt. You weren’t safe here. But now, here we are in peace. I have watched over your voyages, and your teamwork with your crew has shown us that maybe, this world isn’t as bad as we once thought it was. We must be wary of who we welcome into our lives, but we welcome those that wish to embrace our ideals. Now... as for the rest of you... we have much to do while we speak to Enerew in private.”

A set of translucent walls appear, blocking the way out and keeping you from your crew as they are restrained, and led down a stairway. Will you stay with this wolf, or will you try to get to your crew?
  • @ASubtleGhost as the last Demon wheezes it’s dying breath, you feel the essence of the coin grow stronger, almost as if it is trying to pull you towards something.
“Well done... I am impressed. Now come, child, you need only travel a little further now”
  • //You know what would honestly be fun, a DnD adventure made out of this
  • Problem is I don’t know how to play DnD yet. Trust me. I already had that thought.
  • // too true. Might make it tbh
  • Very much suprised to find others of his species, Enerew was perplexed still more by their treatment. They know a lot about him, yet treat his crew, including some other wolfkin, like dangerous strangers. They refered to him and his shipmates as brothers and sisters, yet bind them up. The deeper he looks, the more confused he is. He knows two things for sure. One: these are the ones responsible for the fact that he grew up in a world that knew nothing of his kind, and two: they were restraining his crew-his friends. Neither of those led him to like them, however, they were also his kin.
"What are your intentions with me and my crew? Why do you bind them so? Your tree made sure that none who it deemed unworthy would pass, and yet you treat my friends like thieves in the night! You say you have watched my voyages; you would know then of my crew's good character yourself, save a few whom I am working with. In truth, I cannot watch this without explanation; pray tell me why you would treat the best of beings in such a callous and crass fashion, knowing them to be who they are?"
//Yes, this is how he talks to those whom he is trying to deal with when he doesn't quite know what to do.

    @Tommia @EnvyReaper
"I pick Kerial." Schoren says "What do you say, Draundr?"
  • //basically Enerew doesn't want to think badly of the Owuians but can't see a reasonable explanation for their behavior
  • @BudGetTheCam @Tommia

    "And I as well"

Draundr turns to Klavis, "Now then, what do you have to show us"
  • @DrakeGladis "We have good reason for restraining your crew... traitor." Suddenly, you find yourself completely surrounded. "You are very much welcome, as a noble of our family. But first, you must be purified. While the outside world may have shown us hope, I never claimed to have accepted it. Your crew has so much potential. And yet, you also have sins to atone for. You steal. You fight not for honor, not for glory, and not for a cause, but for a paycheck. And you wouldn't think twice about turning against them if it meant a bit more weight in your chest, would you? You and your people must learn the ways of the Owu."

You are surrounded, and it will be a hectic fight trying to get out of this situation. Will you allow yourself to be captured?
  • // @Tommia
"How dare you imply that I would turn on my friends! I have never done so and would not, not on my life! You call me traitor; I swore no allegiance to you, nor to any king, nation, or cause! To fight for those is to fight with a clouded mind! You say I don't fight for honor! That is true, as honor is not gained through combat but through the fulfillment of ones duties, and to fight for it is to demean it to just another currency!"
"When I came here, I was intrigued. I thought that I had found my home. You, far from welcoming me as you claim to want to, are succeeding in nothing more than to make it less likely that I will return. Unhand me, release my crew, and we will leave, never more to return to these unwelcoming shores."
The rage and pain in Enerew's voice is palpable. These men are his kin, the people that he never thought he had. He hadn't expected the fatted calf, but neither did he expect to be a called a traitor. Through his life, he had sworn allegiance to no one but his crew. He had been offered a principality once in return, but that had not given him a pause for thought any more than when it was demanded of him by a tyrant.

//TL;DR? He's now super pissed, emotionally hurting, and seeing his countrymen as less and less of someone he wants to be associated with. He's given them an ultimatum: release him and his crew, and they shall eternally leave. Don't, and something else will happen. Depends on how you rp it.
  • @DrakeGladis

Who says there's no honor among thieves? ;)
  • Yee. Who are you here? I sense a potential bargain in the offing...

@DrakeGladis “Hmph... very well.” Cleyeft rises, a tear dropping from his eyes. “It would seem as though you refuse to embrace the grasp of purity, my son. If you wish to leave this place forever... that can be arranged.”

A blue gaze fills Cleyeft’s eyes, and your mind is wiped as you collapse to the ground. Every single memory from the moment this island emerged from the sea is being wiped away. You don’t know what is controlling you, but you back away towards a sigil on the ground, and stop upon it.

“Enerew... may you forget everything that has transpired in your life thus far, and be born anew, so that one day, you may embrace our ideals. Until then, I wish you good luck...”

“Awk! I wish you good luck!”

In through a portal window flies the three parrots you go from Nohel’s Trial.

“Parrots? Shoo them aw- ayyyy! What’s going on?!”

Perhaps... the parrots are a little less mundane than you expected. Retaining some of their mind magic skills, the parrots surround Cleyeft, breaking his spell. The guards attempts to shoo them cause disarray. A misguided lance knocks a wolfkin off their feet. A quick attempt at a grab results in a fall that knocks over three people. One of them pulls out a gun, and the shot is knocked off kilter by a scrambling elf, causing it to strike Cleyeft in the shoulder.

You finally realize that you’re apparently being saved, but you have no memory of this place. You know that this wolf Cleyeft has somewhat shattered your mind, and you’ll need a way to mend it.

Your entry will be scored from 0-15. Any score below a ten will count as a miss, and you will take one hit for each point below 10 your score is. Your current HP is 10.

    Criteria:
    • 5 points for overall effect and balancing.
    • 5 points for realism, following color pie, and proper rarity. You may lose a point if the effect of the card is unclear.
    • 2 points for fitting the colors and themes of your character (Temur)
    • 2 points for proper grammar and syntax
    • 1 point for flavor (text not required; mainly checking if overall fell of the card fits its art, name, etc.).
    • You will lose three points if the entry is not new.
    • You cannot submit any card you’ve submitted so far for this contest.
