  • @TenebrisNemo Why does it do that? This has happened to me as well sometimes.

  • @tookie1 - The text manager probably assumes the word is too long to fit in the line as it counts the number of letters, so it moves it to the next line, regardless of the thin letters such as "i" and "l" in "indestructible." But when the dot is added, it separates the word into two different clauses, and that somehow lets it remain on the first line.

@Mir-151414 - Thanks! If you like it, why not give it a favorite? ;)
  • @Mir-151414
Gorrad seems to be really poweful. That being said, it also looks totally printable(although probably wouldn't be in eldranine). Faved it.
I actually think that syr geraken is underpowered. A five mana legendary with a four (colored) mana sac ability that makes you lose life seems a bit much to get a +x and a single card. If you made him monowhite, dropped the sac to 2ww, and made it make creatures you control get +x/+0 until end of turn, that might be more reasonable in edh. After all, reave soul is enough to take him out, as is citywide bust or any number of other spells.
That being said, thoughts on this?

@DrakeGladis - I don't think the name makes sense. A warless wall would be something that prevents destruction instead of causing it. The flavor text needs the name of the person who is speaking in it. Right now it seems like the wall itself is speaking. I would also drop the rarity from mythic to rare.

Here is mine. Comment on the card and/or favorite it if you like it before posting your cards(s). Would like to know your thoughts about the humanity mechanic:

    Edit: Fixed a grammar error.
  • @TenebrisNemo I don't really see why Humanity is an advantage to the creature, apart from the ability.

  • @KorandAngel - It's a cost that lets you do something extraordinary with the creature once, and when you do it, it becomes weaker.
  • Ok, but the other card with it I saw had that it stopped being flying as it's ability.
  • edited February 2020
@KorandAngels - I think I'm late to the party, but you may want to fix Anshi's name or description.
About Nadain, I feel like it's not THAT broken, but it can make short work of cat-oven decks, and that's saying something.

Now, my turn. I have three cards to show you guys, what do you think?

I just stared making my cards, I know they are very borderline but I tend to put more effort on the flavor and concept instead of raw mechanics. Am I doing something wrong?
  • @KorandAngels - The idea of that card was that it's a powerful creature for rather low mana cost, and your opponents had the option to sacrifice a creature so they could activate that card's humanity ability in order to make it weaker (since the humanity activation could be done by anyone on that card, and obviously its controller would never do it, but rather let an opponent activate it by paying {1} and sacrificing one of their creatures.)

Thanks SO much for that @DrakeGladis. ( Now I can take those ideas for a card later! )
I love how this rat theme is circulating right now, great card @Scaccogaming!

Mir-151414 For Gradan, I agree with the comments on the card page. Explore is an activated keyword, like scry or surveil, just tied to a creature. It needs a way to activate for it to work. As for the hoarder, I think it's a bit too underpowered. maybe make it a 2/4?

Here's mine. I honestly think that Wizards made a mistake with not making Explore a WRG mechanic, so I'm gonna fix it for them. leave it a comment/favorite, then post up to two of your own!

Great card! I think that maybe if the devotion requirement is a little UP maybe if it was brought down to 7 or 8 it would be better. other than that amazing. Left a fav.

  • @Fantastickill7 Kythios seems quite overpowered. He costs a lot to make up for it, but the deck you'd have him in would have a lot of instant & sorceries, so you could get him really cheap. And for the last ability, shouldn't it be until end of turn? Great card though.

@ArchieTaylor I think Amia is a bit too OP. In any deck that wants to run her, it's pretty probable that all of the nonland cards in the deck are creatures. you could easily draw six or more cards with her. maybe you could make the casting of spells conditional? maybe something like "You can only cast one creature exiled by Amia per turn" or "You can only cast creatures exiled by Amia if an opponent lost life this turn." Something like that.

Edit: Made an oopsie with Cthulhu. When I say "Return Cthulhu from your graveyard to the battlefield", I mean "Return Cthulhu from exile to the battlefield".
  • @ArchieTaylor
I fixed his last ability, I think it's good now.

    edited original post ;)
  • OK. Thanks a lot @ouser94501. I was kind of thinking in a way that it would be activated, but I never wrote something specifically like: "When this creature enters the battlefield it explores." Faved both.

Talero's second ability should be "{t}, Sacrifice a dragon: etc..."

I feel that Final Desperation should be Red/Green not Red/White fighting is primarily green. even tho, I like the card faved this one.

  • @Fantastickill7 Nice card. I would suggest making the abilities synergies with meek creatures, ie power 2 type bois. Great card though.

  • @Revan Great idea, will edit.
  • Love Sanguine Chalice @Revan. A simple card that I'd definitely put in a tribal vampire deck. ( or a Madness deck for that matter. ) Gave it a favorite.

Mir-151414 No one would ever use Harmod's second ability over his third ability. It does everything the second ability does better at a lower loyalty cost, with an upside. I suggest keeping the second ability, making it permanent, then making the ultimate something else. I suggest something like "Harmod deals damage to each opponent and each creature they control equal to the number of artifacts you control." but that's just me. It's also kinda overcosted if you ask me. it sould be 6 at the least, mabe 5. Lorokgi is fine, however you forgot a comma between "upkeep" and "target".

  • I like the idea of the card being an enabler of a huge face up/face down turn as well as being able to accrue value afterwards, though I think that maybe the last ability is unnecessary - there is quite a lot of clutter on the card already (you could probably remove the morph reminder text) and she's unique enough (to my knowledge being the only card with an interaction for turning instants/sorceries face up) as it is.

Here's my card. I'm considering making a cycle of Aztec-themed gods using my Pact mechanic.
  • edited February 2020
Chanticli is actually pretty busted if you consider the amount of fetchlands you could use in a deck. Overall it's not bad, it even costs a fair amount of mana, but her first ability could be written better. If you don't sacrifice a land, you still have a creature permanent that is indestructible, but can't attack or block and can burn the enemy if you have lands in the graveyard, but if you do sacrifice a land, the card is able to attack and block, but is not indestructible?

    image
Also, here's one of my newest cards. It revolves around the concept of a slow and inexorable ritual that will eventually call forth a powerful (or not so powerful) creature. I also would like to create a creature card that fits well with this land but I have a lack of ideas.
  • edited February 2020
@Scaccogaming A few grammatical errors: instead of saying "At the beginning of your turn", you should say "At the beginning of your upkeep". There should be a colon after "Sacrifice a creature" and "Sacrifice Lost Shrine of Forneus". Otherwise, it seems like a pretty fair land, even if it's pretty slow. Nice card!

Here's my card. I need to know if the transform clause is good enough of a drawback for the creature. any other criticism would be great too!

  • @ouser94501. Really like the transformation from a land to a creature.
