This is for newer users as this is the start of the thread!

If you do it as shown below you don't have to worry about resizing the image each time by switching "full" and "thumbs"

    <a href="Card Page Address"><img src="Card Picture Address" width="30%"></img></a>

To do side by side the following can be done... (Repetition)
    <a href="Card Page Address"><img src="Card Picture Address" width="30%"></img></a><a href="Card Page Address"><img src="Card Picture Address" width="30%"></img></a>

By right clicking on your card image you can select "copy link address".

Full refers to the following for those confused by the reference...

This is for everyone's quick reference as this contest is so popular and linking people to another tutorial didn't feel appropriate!

  • Here is my first entry Zuno, Evening Light.

  • Here's my original entry post updated to provide the card images!

Allow me to show you a glimpse of the multiverse's past and introduce you to two planeswalkers who never got time in the spotlight.
    Walker #1 Baltrice
A mysterious human pyromancer planeswalker with no known birtplace or age. It is unsure how much of her official lore is cannon, as a lot of her lore covers her involvement in the Test of Metal. Of her unquestionable cannon lore, we know that she served as Tezzeret's Lieutenant in the multiplanar organization originally created by Nicol Bolas himself, the Infinite Consordium.

She has an intense hatred for the mind mage and Gatewatch member, Jace Beleren, who at one point was scouted and recruited into the Consortium. After Jace attempted to flee the organization when he was given a task that went against his very nature, he was recaptured and tortured by Baltrice.

Jace eventually escaped with the help of one Liliana Vess, a woman he had met and had a torrid affair with during his time on the run, and the woman who ultimately turned him into the consortium (having been hired to do so by Tezzeret from the very start), where he performed a mental assault on Tezzeret that wiped his memory of the information he needed to run the Constortium, leading to its fall as a untied group, leaving small remains of it on some planes. Baltrice attempted to stop the prisoner, but was supposedly killed by Liliana in the process.

The lore that is possibly not cannon anymore has her survive Liliana's assault, where she flees to Ravnica and is nursed back to health by Jace, working as the right hand of the part of the Constorium Jace took over after it fell out of gratitude. She does quite a bit with Jace following this that I won't cover because of how much that lore has been altered by other plots since then.

As a Pyromancer, Baltrice specializes in elementals and has some skill in Artifice, which is believed to have been taught to her by Tezzeret.

My two-mana planeswalker covers her during her service in the Consortium and seeks to reflect her abilities and stories. While her slight aptitude for Artifice isn't covered, I tried to reflect her ability to create elementals. The odd one out of the abilties seems to be her -3. However, this ability is meant to reflect how she tortured Jace, taking the opponent's mind and randomly searing it. I have costed her the same way as Tibalt with the hopes of making a better RR walker that could actually see some competitive play.

    Walker #2 Ramaz
A shamanic, human planeswalker, Ramaz serves as arguably one of the most important planeswalkers to never get a proper card. Serving as a boss in Duels of the Planeswalkers: 2014 edition, he has had more exposition than Baltrice did, but his official lore is actually smaller than Baltrice's and his origin is unknown, with no known birtplace or age.

Ramaz is subservient to Nicol Bolas, having followed his voice and manipulating the pyromancer planeswalker Chandra Nalaar into stealing the Dragon Scroll, a map of Zendikar that also contained an obscure fire spell known as the Breath of Ugin, or the Ghostfire spell. After learning that the scroll originated on Zendikar, she planeswalked there, where she ran into Srkhan Vol, who attacked the pyromancer. His intent was to sacrifice her to voices he was hearing, but was stopped when Jace Beleren arrived to assist Chandra. The presence of the three of them began to trigger hedrons imprisoning ancient beings known as the Eldrazi to begin to absorb their magic. Eventually, Chandra and Jace discovered the Ghostfire spell and iued it to defeat Sarkhan, which inadvertently caused the last lock on the hedrons confining the Eldrazi to open, releasing them.

After these events, Chandra began to pursue Ramaz, bent on revenge, learning what she could of the mad shaman, they eventuallt had a bout where Ramaz escaped, though also revealing to the pyromancer that he had been a pawn in a greater scheme masterminded by Nicol Bolas.

For a planeswalker with such little lore and no actual card to go with him, he certainly made a big impact on the story. Without him obeying Bolas and manipulating Chandra, the events of Rise of the Eldrazi, which set up the entire Battle or Zendikar block, wouldn't have started.

As a Temur aligned walker, I had to pick two of his three colors to represent him in this card. Since he is primarily a shaman in his abilites, I felt that RG was the best color combination to represent him, since blue is more akin to proper wizards. His first ability is meant to be an improvement over Tibalt's card draw ability by maintaining a similar power level and lack of control without risking the cards already in its controller's hand. The second ability provides some versatility as it can get rid of nasty effects on your opponent's low-powered creatures, or provide you with chump blockers to protect him at the cost of one of your creatures. Since his specific Shamanic powers were never fleshed out, I chose to have his ultimate reflect the idea of temporarily calling a beast into battle. Of course, since this is a low-cost ultimate and low-cost walker, to balance out an unconditional creature drop, the opponent gets that creature soon after it is put into play.

One's good for a spirit tribal deck and can be splashed for white or green spirits-

-The other is a reanimation or removal spell.

    Reminder:
Graft X: This creature enters the battlefield with X +1/+1 counters on it. When another creature enters the battlefield, you may move a +1/+1 counter from this creature onto this creature.

Please avoid long lore text as this forum is supposed to be a shortened version of the other! If you feel compelled to write a brief summary you may do so though.

Just making sure the job isn't too hard for @Lujikul as this forum is meant to be more of a summary. I apologize if I'm too controlling, I just don't want it to be a snowballing habit among others. I honestly don't mind the lore personally as I love your original post! :)
  • @modnation675
Yeah, I was debating whether or not @Lujikul wanted the original post as is or not. If he wants me to take out the lore, I will gladly do so!

  • I cannot wrap my head around how to post pictures, so I have the links instead.

Entry 1: http://mtgcardsmith.com/view/eon-dagor-hand-of-mogis (The ultimate should be -7, not -10)
    Entry 2: http://mtgcardsmith.com/view/almoth-defiant-protector

  • No problem, html can be awkward for most users! Even with a post explaining a bit of it.

Especially on mobile devices as well! XD
  • what does "Card Image" mean? @modnation675
