    We have some weird ones this round lol

    *You may edit the mechanic, or mechanic's name as long as you think the concept isn't changed. As you submit the edited version, you agree that all cardsmiths can use that version as well.
    *Reminder text isn't necessary.
    **You may make a brand new mechanic for "Pickpocket".
  • My take on the pickpocket mechanic:

    Pickpocket {N} (Whenever this creature deals combat damage to a player, exile the top {N} cardS of his or her library face down.)

    @Tomigon
    I'd forgotten about Pinpoint. *ThumbUp*

    Can we shorten it?
    Pinpoint (Whenever this creature deals damage to an opponent, that player reveals a card at random from his or her hand. This creature deals damage to target creature or planeswalker equal to the revealed card's converted mana cost.)

    Still so long!

    Minor re-formatting recommendation to @Faiths_Guide's keyword ability.

    Change List:
    1) Fixes card draw demonstration issues.
    2) Fixes minor punctuation issues.
    3) Shortened a bit.

    Warp by Faiths_Guide: https://mtgcardsmith.com/view/stalking-sorceress.
    Warp (As you draw this card, you may reveal it. If you do, sorcery spells have flash this turn.)
  • @Faiths_Guide @modnation675
    Thanks for the new wording! I edited the list!

    Picked the pickpocket from @CKNG

  • I dig the Dread ability.

    Deleted.
  • Dread Return is a card name
  • I reformatted Indie-Help and changed its name. I took example from haunt and champion.

    Guide (Whenever another creature enters the battlefield under your control, you may exile this creature guiding that creature. When that creature leaves the battlefield, return this card to the battlefield.)
  • @TenebrisNemo
    Just making sure you know I added this to the community keyword archive last month.

    Guide (You may begin the game with a single copy of this card from your sideboard in your command zone.)

    Also, you should just write vigilance rather than stating it can't be tapped.
  • But I could try and change the name for you. It's just this one doesn't have the extra room on that line.
  • edited December 2017
    @modnation675 - Spells and abilities can tap creatures with vigilance, but not this one.
  • Okay. Seems very niche though since many effects like that are enter the battlefield tapped.
  • Nice work everyone!

    @TenebrisNemo
    Doesn't your Guide of the North make {t} ability infinite? I'm not sure. I've never seen that effect on real cards.

    @modnation675
    You don't need to change the mechanic's name if you don't want to. I've seen some mechanics with the same name on Encyclopedia.
  • @Tomigon
    Yeah. But I did already, so I'll just keep the changes.

    I was also confused about the wording since normally that effect requires more clauses.
  • @Tomigon - No. Spell and abilities can't tap Guide of the North.

    It can't be tapped so it can't be used to cast spells or to activate abilities.

    @TenebrisNemo
    Ok. Then can the creature attack if it can't be tapped? Tapping is like cost for attacking..

    If you want it to attack(2 mana might be a bit cheap then), maybe the card should say-
    "Vigilance, guide

    Guide of the North can't be tapped.

    The creature Guide of the North guides has vigilance and can't be tapped."
  • @Tomigon - Attacking causes the creature to tap, but it won't tap the creature which can't be tapped.

    I feel like this is the most confusing card which I've ever created!
  • @TenebrisNemo How about making it a keyword. Something like this maybe....?

    Guide of the North and the creature it guides have unflinching (This creature cannot be tapped, and attacking doesn't cause it to tap. If a spell or ability would cause this creature to become tapped, counter that spell or ability.)

    @jabrewer79
    The crossed out part is a horrible idea. But other than that, yes.

    More specifically the bold part.

    Guide of the North and the creature it guides have unflinching (This creature cannot be tapped, and attacking doesn't cause it to tap. If a spell or ability would cause this creature to become tapped, counter that spell or ability.)
  • Oops. Ya, I could see that causing problems. I didn't put a lot of thought into it, just flingin' spitballs.

    Submission 1: image

    By the way, how do you make it so that when you post a link it show the image of the card instead of the link?

    Edit: Damn, I didn't mean to say "Infested Boar" in the card description.
