Well, the primal mechanic inspired me to actually do something, so here's a strange selection of somethings. I'm aware that their nature as a sort-of-set probably isn't worth anything, but inspiration means they are one anyway:

I'll post all my cards in that post for this round.  :D

As I don't have a premium account, here are some errata (they will be in the card comments)

Selective Sludge - Naturecall - ... You may cast that card. If you don't, its owner gains 1 life.

The mechanics created by your cardmiths are in the comments.

  • Turncoat's a reskin of Spy by SorinJace. I chose to rename it to fit the card flavor and reword it slightly to fix a handful of minor wording issues in the original version.

Thank you for your entries everyone!
It's time to announce the winners of this week.

    1st Place
     by zamshala  (+1/4 cp  @Corwinnn )
Giving mutate to creature spells cards in your hand is a very original ability. There might be some crazy combos, but I didn't have time to look all nonhuman non-Human cards in MtG. I love unique ideas like this, and this would be a very fun commander with so many possibilities. (Not a big deal, but be careful with small wording mistakes!)

    2nd Place
Not sure if "turncoat" is the best name, because the original name has a flavor that the creature will help you from under your opponent's control. But I really like the balance of this card!

    3rd Place
     by fire12
Very flavorful overall! I can see that you enjoyed making this, and it makes me happy:)

@zamshala, @MemoryHead, @fire12 each of you can choose up to two custom mechanics for future challenges. Pick any mechanics you can find in Mechanic Encyclopedia for ALL or Tome of TheMechanix, or you can make new mechanics! Comment on this thread or send me PM. If you don't want to choose that's also ok!
