  • Vasuman was once just a prize winning rooster. Nothing much, only a Rooster that won his farmer 50 golden trophies. But then one day, Nicol Bolas flew down from the sky and scorched the whole plane. During the last moments of his life, the god of fire and celebration gave his essence to Vasuman. When Vasuman burned, he turned to ash. Days passed without any sign of life on the plane, until one day... The ash swirled and spun, into storm clouds of ash, and fire erupted from the cinders; from those flames flew out Vasuman! In all of his glory, he screeched a terrible cry of justice, to avenge the plane from the dragon that razed it. Vasuman soared through the Æther and just before descending apron Grixis he contemplated, "I am the only survivor in the entire land. I can't possibly be wasting my time with this dragon who can't kill me." That one vain thought lead to countless deaths of warriors who tried to slay the mighty dragon of Grixis. But as for Vasuman, he became know throughout the planes as "The Firework Phoenix." He put on glorious shows in Theros that were worthy of the gods. Vasuman organized glorious events for the leaders of the guilds of Ravnica, so grand that the Firemind himself flew from Nivix to see the show in person. Vasuman dazzled millions with his grand displays of pyromania and chromomancy. He became the great Phoenix Performer: Vasuman, Firework Phoenix!

Judge Which ever one of them you want, preferably which you think is better though. Lol
Or do I have to tell you which one I want you to judge?
  • Actually the one that i would like to be judged is Vasuman, Firework Phoenix, because I didn't really describe him that much before his spark.

PS: How do you guys get it that you have the actual image already showing?

While focusing on number one, Garin finds it in his heart to let some other have a little glory, even if most of his abilities is focused on helping himself. Like a red spellkite opposite too!

A cool card I made, really shows a vain rooster literally. He is decently fair, and I think his flavor is quite nice. He is good in the beginning game, but is open to many spells and can die quickly due to his 4 hp. Though he won't let you play larger creatures unless you want to sacrifice them. A interesting card I made and I hope you'll consider this as a good card @mtgcardsmith
EDIT: just edited it to make the card's picture show. nothing else.

Kypus, the Self-Centered Centaur is better than you. He doesn't need any help he can do it all by himself. In his heroic, yet cocky charges his crowd boosts his strength so he can amaze them, making them all want to be like the great Kypus.

A renowned warrior who often times charges into battle without thinking ahead. But he's a chicken, he doesn't need a head.
  • Here's my submission (Kompastikos means boastful in Greek, that's how he got his name)

  • How can I do that on an iPad?
  • @Ranshi922
I can likely answer your question, if you need help! :)

Tab-Tab likes to show off to his fellow goblins how good he is at provoking the enemy. He is popular among the goblins for leading them into many victories.

  • When will I get the icon of the foot
  • @Ranshi922 - I believe once your card gets added to the entries, you'll get that foot you've always dreamed of!
    XD

@Ranshi922, at the end of the contest

Edit: yeah maybe @corwinnn is right
  • http://mtgcardsmith.com/view/finas-jack-of-all-trades

Finas is a popular elf who travels around the world and performs tricks and plays music for huge crowds, and thinks he is the best at all of the things he does.
  • Righto then.
Here is Daravus, a powerful yet arrogant pyromancer (not in any way related to Chandra). He is extremely vain and boastful, and will even weaken his allies to empower his magical strength, ensuring that he is always the centre of attention. In fact, the more allies he has, the more he will drain their energy and be even more impressive. Maybe a tad overpowered, but that is sort of the point. He does die to nearly all removal though.

Good luck to all participants! May the leylines be with you!
  • Welp, guess I'll throw in my try. Feel free for anyone to give their two cents! I'd love some feedback

Lore: In an unknown plane, there lives Mogul Khan, once a grunt in the Red Mist army who always looked for the rank of a general. In battle after battle he proved his worth through gory deed. His rise through the ranks was helped by the fact that he never hesitated to decapitate a superior. Through numerous campaigns, he distinguished himself in glorious carnage, his star of fame also shining ever brighter, while the number of comrades in arms steadily dwindled. On the night of ultimate victory, Mogul Khan declared himself the new Red Mist General, and took on the ultimate title of 'Axe.' But his troops now numbered zero. Of course, many had died in battle, but a significant number had also fallen to Mogul Khan's blade. Needless to say, most soldiers now shun his leadership. But this matters not a whit to Mogul Khan, who knows that a one-man army is by far the best.
  • Here is my submission. My theme was "cock fighting."

In a world ravaged by Eldrazi, rippling with the Roil, and teeming with life, Gallus must prove he is no mere beast. He will stop at nothing to become more powerful, even if he has to sacfroce his disciples to get there.

Fun fact: "Gallus" is Latin for rooster.
  • Cute design @GICYUNVMe, wonder where I've seen something like that before? :P

I really wanted to avoid the stereotypical rooster or phoenix references with this. Instead, I decided to try another flavor. While considering the Fire Rooster traits, I immediately thought about the crazy bloodfest carnival at Rix Maadi from Ravnica. It's all about being the center of attention, having a crowd, and being hard to handle.

    Here's my card:

Ignis, Final Act of Rix Maadi

The slaughterhouse carnival at Rix Maadi always needed a final act. Ignis was perfect. The more victims in the ring and the more spectators in the stands, the stronger and fiercer he seemed to become. He had a need to be watched, a need for the spotlight. He was so brazen, it took two or more handlers to keep him in line. Not that they cared much about it anyway. Problem was, if he stayed in the spotlight for very long, he tended to get flustered, worked up... crazy. He'd lash out at everyone and everything around him, drawing the spectators right into the show. Rakdos loved it all, if he could be said to love anything. Too bad no one could spread the word after each show...
  • I have designed my entry, just writing up some more lore, it will be coming soon.
