Okay, I just realized masterpieces NEED to be in this set. It’s too dang fitting to not have.
-
@Ranshi922 My condolences

Or Comet Storm
-
Or reap intellect

@Ranshi922 I can’t tekk if you’re being sarcastic or not. Rashmi is the legendary Simic Elf Mythic from Kaladesh that invented the planar bridge.
-
I must say, I don’t think it’s bad. In a dedicated superfriends deck, it’s quite a staple, especially in EDH. When I think bad mythic spell, I think *deeo breath of agony* Archangel’s Light
-
@ErinsCards Yeah I wasn’t fighting one bit! I was just making some jokes.
-
Deploy the Gatewatch?

@Rashmi_EternitiesCrafter

Anyway, this set definitely has the potential to be significantly different from Otaria because whereas Otaria made its monocolor function by using LOTS of hybrid mana to make cards viable in two different monocolor strategies in draft, and focused …

@Ranshi922 You’re just jealous *blows tongue*
-
Which useless mythic spell? I can think of three immediately. @Ranshi922
-
I reviewed it for him and we had basically finalized it as of a few months ago.
-
@Tigersol has a complete set skeleton and set file for a monocolor matters set. He might’ve beat bith you, @ErinsCards and @Ranshi922
-
Anyway, here's how I'd do the set mechnaically Mechanics: -Devotion -Basic Split Cards (no special mechanics like fuse or anything) -No hybrid mana until a later set in the block where the shards either combine or ally with one another. -Some new mo…

Cookie Dough is my favorite flavor

Devotion is a must for a monocolor set, I'd alos encourage hybrid mana or split cards. I'd love to see Chroma return, but the other two are much, much more important.
-
@Tigersol, get in here, this is like Otaria and you nailed that set.
-
Hey, I’m not saying it has to be online. I just know there are some people who have primarily built their collections on MTGO, that’s all. I’m a paper player myself.
-
@Ningyouk As for the set story, I feel that the main villain/conflict should not be planeswalker-caused/planeswalker-centric. That helps more easily keep the set story self-contained. I don’t mind protagonists being planeswalkers as much, though.
-
@ningyouk So I’ve been thinking it over and I really don’t feel Liza has a planeswalker. I’d much rather see her as legendary Art in the set to free up space for a different walker (who, though, I’m not sure). I don’t really have much justification …

My big collection claim is my most coveted commander deck, Rhys the Redeemed. It started as Emmara Tandris and I got Rhys as a birthday gift from a good friend a few months later. It is also home to one of the two most expensive cards in my collecti…

@Ranshi922 Magic the Gathering Online I’d include arena, but the wildcard system (justifiably and correctly) removes significant card value.
-
@Ranshi922 IRL or MTGO. Basically where your cards can hold a value.
-
@Ranshi922 I would, but it’s late for me and I’m not too far away from heading to bed.

My fav music is 70s and 80s classic rock and pop, add in Daft Punk and a tiny bit of modern pop. I also like a good amount of lyricless music (the PDM EoS soundtrack and the soundtrack in a good deal of Kirby games are huge highlights for me), but I…

@sorinjace Ah neat! I’m a big, big fan of music and musical theater, I have a season pass to our local theater that gets the touring broadway shows. I hopped into MTG because a friend (who hardly even plays now) wanted me to play. I started going to…

I turn 18 in December.
-
@Ranshi922 Yeah. I wasn’t even old enough to officially enter GD3. It was kinda disappointing.
-
@sorinjace Yup! I’m a horrifically average high school senior MTG fan.
