If I recall correctly, most of Blue's creatures, especially their higher CMC cards, are poor by design due to how powerful their non-creature spells are. Prevents Mono-Blue from becoming a permanent meta.

@DoctorFro Cards such as Censor, Daze and Forcespike would also all be straight upgrades to Push Back if you only paid 1 to cancel it. Without a second ability or effect, the higher cancel cost is a necessity.

@Zefrors Can we make cards that synergise with the abilities without necessarily using them? For example, Stalwart Commander on page 4 which buffs tokens, but doesn't itself have Congregate.

Yes, you do get 3 2cmc creatures. By paying 6-mana. As is the intention of the ability. You could also pay 4 to get 2 creatures, 8 for 4 and so forth. That's the idea, lots of creatures, generally smaller than their counterpart clans individually.

R Rats and RW Soldiers could both be fitted into GRW Congregate, since they fit the theme of amassing a large force.

Here's my suggestion and example for a GRW clan mechanic, Congregate. Based on a combination of Multikicker and Storm, Congregate would focus on generating copies of weaker creatures whose effects can stack exponentially to overwhelm their opponents…
