In that situation, I think the solution to that issue, if we want to go with that idea for a villain, would be to have them be a legendary creature, which would solve the conflicting planeswalker color problem, and free up a slot for a planeswalker …

@Servillius Steelheart is on my top ten list of "Favorite books of all time" and a book I sincerely hope gets the movie treatment someday. Anywho, I'm Lujikul, been here a couple years now, and most of my cardsmithing comes along when I have bursts…

I had a brainspark for our antagonistic force while driving home from work today: What if our main villain is a thief of ideas and thoughts, similar to how Davriel Cane's abilities are depicted in WAR? I don't necessarily mean Davriel himself, but…

You're asking for a lot, especially in the borders category. Updating the planeswalker creator has been on the to-do list for a long while. The vehicle thing can be solved by enabling the P/T box when creating your artifact. Level-up creatures wou…

Would've been a human rogue if I could've made the entire type fit.

I knew I recognized Lashing Horror!

This sounds like if you boil it down and continue to refine it, you end up with Tarkir.

@Corwinnn has arrived, called by Ral's beacon! (Requested by @Tommia's dream)

I'm game.

I've had a dream of turning into a vampire (several times). The challenge? Create a card of someone being turned. Oh, and I'm definitely working on that corwinnn one. Must've been a wild trip.
-
Kamigawa was a victim of poorly timed mechanics that were more focused on flavor than actual functionality. Oh, and splice.
-
I'm fine with the idea of Kaldheim. Snow Permanents are cool and it'd probably come with wolf tribal. That said, I'd much prefer a return to Kamigawa or new phyrexia, as those are my two favorite planes.

Though the sun may set, the light doesn't fade.

I only just now caught the Team Spirit pun. That's genius.

@MemoryHead Where have you found sliver fan art? All I can find is official arts.

Something very important you're gonna have to pay attention to during construction of the set is complexity in limited. War of the Spark was undoubtedly one of the most interesting, but also most complicated limited formats we've had, due to the inh…

If we're still recommending musical themes for this, these two come to mind:

Though I've already got them, I'd recommend @Suicidal_Deity's idea simply because a constraint of limits while people battle for their playmat of choice is an excellent way to encourage creative thinking. A no limits card brawl is nice and all, but …

@Red_Tower Something like this: https://www.channelfireball.com/articles/deck-of-the-day-legacy-manaless-dredge/ I've piloted it before.

I've been considering the same thing myself, to be honest. For those looking to talk in real time instead of regularly reloading a thread, it may be helpful.

Nevermore deck with any of the white creature lands, gg

Most of the people here are newer I’d say, with some very notable exceptions, but you’d never be able to tell just from cardsmithing skill.
-
Since we're all keeping watch, I may as well, too.

The dark is a scary place. When the sun sets, and the moon is obscured, all sorts of unsavory beasts, fiends, and humans come out to roam. It's enough to ignite fear in the bravest of warriors, and is where the secrets of evil lurk, hidden from the …

You can bet I’ll be trying again for season three.

Seems that way.

I’m from the Northwest US in what I like to call “potatoland.” I’ve grown up here my whole life, I started making cards longer ago than I thought, a little over two years now. My favorite real card is probably either the new Narset or Umbral Stalker…

@TezzeretogCarmot21 What I ultimately did was I caught a magnemite from the area right next to the school and trained it until it learned a steel attack. Since Lurantis isn’t a bug type, you may find that helpful.
-
Ah yes, the Totem Lurantis. The bane of water users everywhere.

I think @PlatypusBurger also likes platypuses.
