@kandra127, that's also a good idea. It came up before with my suggestion of a cult/secret association led by an evil 'walker who wanted to harness the power of the Muses for themselves, with the help of either a hedron from Zendikar, part of Innist…
-
@kandra127, I like the idea of a literal and figurative revolution, but I think we've agreed that the Muses are what induce creativity in the sentient races of Rezatta, not stifle it.
-
A Tod cycle would be pretty great XD Maybe the birth cycles of dragons are tied to the waxing and waning of the Muses' power? So new dragons born is a sign of the Muses' return, and therefore a good omen?
-
@Faiths_Guide, if you're referring to the portfolio of art that @ningyounk (I believe it was he/she/etc.) found when we were worried about art shortages, I think we've been able to find enough normal artwork so far that it isn't a necessity any more.
-
@brcien, I really like the idea of a Caravaggio character, because it highlights the imperfections of a ruling body. I think it would be a great way to breathe some life into the religion of Rezatta. This brings up the question, 'What is the religio…

@DoctorFro While this set was initially inspired by Italy, the Renaissance spread all throughout Europe and beyond, so feel free to take inspiration from anywhere!
-
@sorinjace, hmm. My apologies for the inapt subtype, but I'm sure you'll grant that it has a distinctly demonic feel.
-
-
@ManaChrome, typo alert! How embarrassing. It's like when you're writing and someone says something and you accidentally write it XD @Arceus8523, I was expecting Hideaway to be eliminated, actually. (No pressure to do so, or anything).
-
@ningyounk, @Tigersol, and all the other Rezatta people: Let's each take on an individual project and reconvene with our new ideas in April. Tigersol, I'd love to speak with you about developing our lore further.
-
@Tigersol, I'm glad you've taken this step to look at the set from a fresh point of view. Another thread will give us a new perspective and prevent us from stagnating.
-
@ManaChrome, what made you decide to remove Imprint? (I agree with that choice, by the way).

Kara awoke. He saw a domed stone ceiling, white walls, blurred faces looming over him, and swirling tendrils of black flame. Blink. He saw an infinite void of darkness, punctuated occasionally by pinpricks of light. Blink. He heard voices; an indist…

@ningyounk, I think "Reborn" would be best. Legendary has a cool flavor, but the rules technicalities that accompany making reborn creatures legendary is undesirable.
-
@Jonteman93, thanks for a great contest! I'll write a last story for Kara and post another iteration or two. @KalamMekhar, congratulations to you and to Radhe!
-
@ningyounk Cool designs! A couple questions... - Who's Rosamilla? And what are his/her/its/their/xes/etc etc etc schemes? - If we're putting saprolings in a signpost unco, we need to be sure we have them as a major theme in the set, which, as of now…
-
@Everybody @Everyone Actually, yes, at least in my case XD
-
Sounds good!

Not technically a new card, but this one was misunderstood (read the comment) XD It's called Defeat Purpose, which is a play on words. It defeats one's purpose, i.e. that spell they wanted to cast, but it also defeats the purpose of itself. Its a so…

@Jonteman93 As the bracelets clasp around Kara's wrists, he suddenly felt a lot better than he's felt in... a long time. He blinked, looked around, and saw the two drones on the ground. He felt a wave of revulsion looking at them. "Burn them!" he sp…

I think we shouldn't add a number to green's mechanic when all of the others aren't related to quantity. And if others are opposed to including Envy, then fine
-
@TrumpetGaming, the Theros block was based on ancient Greek mythology. Are you referring to modern Greece instead?
-
@ManaChrome *facepalm* Heh...heh................heh...........................................................................heh.
-
@Baron-777, planesculptors.net, probably.
-
@NokiSkaur My favorite kind!
-
@ManaChrome, you should get into D&D! Make a rogue; they're super fun. I should know; out of the four characters I'm currently playing, 2 are rogues XD
-
True, but important set cycles don't have to be mono colored. We could have a cycle of ten ally- or enemy-colored Muses, for example.
-
@ningyounk, I think you're misinterpreting Desire. Yes, one connotation is similar to love (but closer to lust), but I was thinking more like ambition or greed. Perhaps to get rid of these debates, we don't limit it to five emotions? Why confine ou…

@Jonteman93 Kara jerked bolt upright in his cot as a searing pain racked his mind. The drone startled, jostling the bed from beneath. He grabbed his head in both hands and screwed his eyes closed. After a moment, the sensation faded, and he noticed…
