@IanLowenthal, lowering the life payment still wouldn't help; there's no advantage to running a Marshland Path over a normal Swamp unless you use @Tomigon's idea. Giving the lands the ability to tap for {c} would work.

@TezzeretofCarmot21, yeah, the 0 ability does double the 'walker's loyalty, but there isn't really a big flashy ult, so once you've done it once or twice it's actually better to double counters on different cards.
