Well, time for some random ideas that are actually legal in the format: Maybe Fireblade Artist. It isn't as good for aggro as some other cards, but the fact that it can convert itself into a face-shock during your upkeep seems surprisingly good. F…

@LyndonF I'm pretty sure that Ixalan's Binding can't beat decks like Gutterbones. The Gutterbones come down early and beat you to death before you can bind enough of them for it to matter.
-
@EnvyReaper Yeah. Will we be using the traditional DnD method of calling it something like "Basher" or "Painter" or something like that or will we just give it a name that sounds warforged-y?
-
@EnvyReaper At current, it's as good as anything else. I'd say that we should refine it once we've got some of the main, overarching story going and have actually invented the super-basis of some more factions.
-
@EnvyReaper So constructs and then one single card for the warforged that I plan to stay the heck away from making. Is it going to be a prominent character in any real way or is it just something that happens to exist? In other words, should I make …

@EnvyReaper Is Urbos literally going to be a faction of the Warforged?
-
EDIT: These don't work because it's a maximum of two cards overall. I was being an idiot, sorry. Right, time for more ideas. I suspect that some of them are notably better than others: Exploration Sage Here goes nothing. Evolution Sage Enter the …
-
@pjbear The idea behind the format (as far as I can tell) is that you must have a deck containing one land (up to 40 copies) and one or two nonland cards (up to 40 copies of each). Your hydroid deck, while a good idea, wouldn't work in that form (al…

@AxNoodle Whoa, that Ral combo's cool. Tempest Djinn's already at the top as a midrange card, though I'm not sure what you'd want to pair it with (or whether you'd want to pair it at all, though the deck is at a disadvantage against burn). Narset's …

@EnvyReaper I'm of the opinion that the faction leaders shouldn't be planeswalkers, or if any are then it's only one or two.
-
@Brainifyer Ah, dang. I had assumed based on some of the lists (mostly the control/turbo-fog) that it was meant to be two cards and basics. Just ignore all of my decks, everybody! Nothing to see here!
-
EDIT: These don't work because it's a maximum of two cards overall. I was being an idiot, sorry. @Je_Suis_Oluwa Here are some random things I came up with. They aren't necessarily good: Krenko Please no removal, please no removal... Krenko, Tin S…

@Brainifyer I'd like to think that the sideboard would be another 40 copies of a card and that you could side all of one card out to side them in. Potentially too much to hope for, though.
-
@KorandAngels I had guessed, but now it exists. Don't worry, it's more of a random thing than anything else.
-
Righty, two main things. The first is that fateseal is the most oppressive mechanic this side of Thalia and that trying to make a set containing a lot of it is a silly idea. The second is that the reverse side of your transforming card shouldn't hav…
-
@the16thsquidcorp Yeah, it's still going (even if the going's a bit slow and highly confused in terms of direction). Any concepts, ideas or literally anything-s are appreciated.
-
@KorandAngels @MonkeyPirate2002 Actually, I was asking why the description reads: "Cards for the not-yet-existing Colonisers: Season Three." But that works too, I guess.
-
@Daedalus_The_All_Father Good luck out there.
-
@Hergusbergus True. Four factions with house in their name and the potential in each for various individual houses to exist. I suspect that I'll get totally confused about them at least once over the course of this, though thankfully I don't have to…
-
@KorandAngels A random little thing, but your set description should probably acknowledge the existence of this challenge.
-
@HeroKP Do you mean the last of the bonus cards or last of the main cards? I can see all of them, so I can't tell.
-
@Faiths_Guide Whoa, I've never heard that before. I understand why you're doing it and I'll probably end up using it myself at some point.
-
@Faiths_Guide There's a full stop in the word "battlefield" for some reason.
-
Hey, you. Yeah, you. Have you ever heard of champion? The Lorwyn mechanic that hardly anybody seems to know? Well, have I got news for you! Presenting... the Houses of Nihoja. First up, a leader: I'm not going to claim that the houses really have…

Don't worry about this deleted comment, I posted something by accident. I'll have my entry up soon, by the way.
-
Double sided sagas! Make it happen, WotC! Come to think of it, that's a good idea...
-
@EnvyReaper Finding new art for the spellbook'd cards could be a pain, but we could probably make that work. I'd say that we wait and see how easy it would be once we've actually got at least the base concepts for some planeswalkers.
-
@EmolgAn You can post cards. The people who get into the contest when it actually starts are decided by @HeroKP when the contest actually starts.
-
@EnvyReaper Well, time for more evidence, I guess. https://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?multiverseid=420668 https://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?multiverseid=433243 https://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.asp…

@EnvyReaper I can't comment on the WoW thing because I don't know anything about it, but dwarves are a race that exists in MTG as artificers so I decided to use them here. Also, the art. No, Toolbox Rummager doesn't need that text. For the sake of …
