@Ningyounk I understand. For now, the only mechanic rooted in increasing equipment count is Living Weapon, and even that is arguable. I think that Soulbond could be a fun mechanic to use in this set, but I don't think it fits the flavour that wel…

@Credius There are a lot of syntax errors, but I like the concept overall. I'm not sure if 'Enchanting Enchantress' is referring to Lisz or some other card, so you should be a bit more specific. Here's something I made about a month ago, and I wa…

@Ningyounk I like the idea of Implement and Gear tokens. I also have a couple other ways of making equipment without loading the entire set with them. As you mentioned, we could implement normal creation of Equipment tokens, which I'm almost cert…
-
@Credius I understand that it's an older card. I'll see what I can make with that formula, but the cards might be worse than normal because I'm on mobile.
-
@Credius I could certainly see the concept working, though I think it should be a cycle of mono-coloured artifacts. Or, we could find a way to make it fit into Selesnya colours? I guess it doesn't have to be that directional, but it feels strange…
-
@Ningyounk That would work much better--it causes a fundamentally identical effect without really breaking anything.

Meharlat! "Not yet, brother. Let the mortal run around until his life wastes away." @22cjohnson? How life is already hanging by a thread. All I need is a quick snip, and he falls to Meharlat's domain. "Heresy isn't a crime if there isn't any f…

Thanks, @Lujikul.
-
We can already make double-faced cards, my friend. All you need is a transformation clause and a second card created.
-
"The Eldrazi? They never truly die." I hear their whispers. "I see their visions." Ulamog lives in another plane... "Kozilek lives in another plane." "Emrakul lives within us all."
-
@Credius It's a vanilla test C, but it has Delve. A vanilla 3/3 with delve would be at least 5 cmc at common. This is a vanilla 10/10 for 10 with delve and a mild downside.
-
Do you hear this? The mortal wants to fix us! "Those who challenge the gods are given an early invitation to Meharlat's domain. Tread carefully, @22cjohnson."
-
@22cjohnson "Now you understand who we are. Well done, mortal." Why aren't you condemning him? "I'm the God of power, not death. We may share the same body, but we are not the same."
-
@Stormtide I understand. It's too easy to see something as balanced in a vacuum. We've all fallen victim to 'it doesn't seem TOO bad' mentality.
-
@Stormtide That would completely break artifact-matters cards. What would happen to Improvise in a swarm deck? One equipment could become eighteen mana, and that could wreck the entire deck.
-
@Mellenius I don't quite see what's wrong with it, but alright. On a different note, what do you guys think we should do for ally-coloured archetypes? We still need to make Dimir, Rakdos, Gruul, and Selesnya archetypes. The only restrictions I h…

@Fantastic_Fantasy_Cards A 10/10 for 10 with delve at common? That's a rare card, my friend. Its probably mythic if you remove the downside.
-
@Termite1 (Out of Character) Those all seem pretty broken. You're getting a two mana 3/2, which already pushes the vanilla test, and they have benefits. Those would probably be best at uncommon.
-
@sanjaya666 I thought of a concept, and I gave it a name. I don't see how using a plane's name makes it an inherently bad name. @ningyounk I'd say that Sorin is more life-swingy than life matters. I think that we can separate the concepts enoug…

Perhaps a black legend knew of Ajani and decided to corrupt him?
-
Perhaps we could change Ajani' s name to 'Ajani, Rezzatan Dictator' and change his token to Avarice, giving it lifelink and changing the cost to -XX. These are just random ideas being bounced around, and it would be best if you took them lightly.…
-
@Credius That makes sense. I think I was focusing too much on flavour rather than how it plays. It would only be useful to return to your hand if you had a direct counterspell ready to use, along with any mana that spell needs. Thank you for the…
-
@Mellenius The concept would certainly work, but I'm not sure if tri-coloured legends would fit well with the set. What does everyone else think? If we don't end up using the character, we could make him a planeswalker of some kind. We could kee…

I was wondering what you guys thought of this card, taking the errata below into account. I didn't have enough room to specify where it was supposed to go. https://mtgcardsmith.com/view/aetherlock-golem Errata: When Aetherlock Golem leaves the ba…

"Noki and Skaur, the Twins." Noki and the Slave is more truthful. "You don't know how good you have it. If either one of us dies, the other is dragged down with them." Hell is my domain, Noki. Watch your tongue, or I'll make you live my life, b…
-
@Gelectrode I like the concept of Insinuate as a mechanic. I'm guessing that there will be different things that you'd need to watch out for, depending on the card. Obot' s backstabber seems like it would be fairly balanced card in the early game…
-
@22cjohnson (Out of Character) There were a few campaigns of DnD that I participated in where there were two characters--Noki, a generally levelheaded CN Pyromancer, and Skaur, a psychopathic necromancer with CE alignment. They mostly hated each …
-
@serpentail Do we even know enough about Assemble to make it a mechanic? There will certainly be artifact creatures, but we can't use Assemble until Unstable. Never mind. It was a syntax error. When referring to cards by name, capitalize it. O…
-
To gain my favour, create an instant-speed removal that gives you life if you sacrifice creatures. "This isn't like you, Skaur." You just don't pay enough attention.

@zizick123 I dropped--I'm not in this anymore.
