I won't be able to smith until Monday, so my entry is probably going to take a while. Are we keeping the one week rule from Cardsmith duels?
-
Possibly some form of leonin as well? Just to fit that jungle theme a couple islands may have, I guess.
-
@Corwinnn Because it's written in hexadecimals, or because it's the answer to the ultimate question of life, the universe, and everything?
-
Could the plane be called Lagok? It's not the best name, but it's a start.

@TezzeretofCarmot21 I made a mechanic for my Zendikar set called Manaburst, and I think it could fit here as well. Manaburst (As you cast this spell, you may sacrifice a land. If you do, add three mana of any colour to your mana pool.)
-
@saveria201 We made something similar, meant mostly for mono blue. That's not really a ramp colour, but it can be justified with flavour. Voyage ({Cost}, tap a crewed vehicle you control: Search your library for a basic island card and put it int…

What about Lagok?
-
@TezzeretofCarmot21 Also, psylian life is always lost before normal life, so specifying psylian life seems pointless.
-
@Stormtide I know--I fixed it.
-
@TezzeretofCarmot21 No worries, mate. No need to apologize.
-
@Stormtide Yeah, that would work. However, it wouldn't quite fit the full cycle if one of them had a full team effect in my opinion. It would just have to be the 2-1 creature buff. +2/+0 and first strike sounds good, though.
-
@TezzeretofCarmot21 Battle Cry was W/R in SOM-NPH, so... yes? @Stormtide True, but this is supposed to represent something different. Curiosity, to my understanding, represents gaining knowledge through experimentation, and therefore pain. This…

@Stormtide Black: Memories of Endurance--Temporary indestructible Blue: Memories of Knowledge(?)--Mutual card draw Red: Memories of War--Temporary team pump Would that work?
-
@TezzeretofCarmot21 No worries. I'll give a more in-depth critique later. I really shouldn't rail on balance, though. I'm usually wrong about those things.
-
@Stormtide That doesn't make sense to me, but it's certainly an option.
-
Just note that these are the first things that come to my mind--I could probably come up with much better if I thought for longer.
-
Perhaps we could make a return for Battle Cry in red? As for black, how about: Ritual (As you cast this card, you may sacrifice a creature and pay {mana cost} in addition to this card's other costs. If you do, {effect}.)
-
I know mana ramp is more green than blue, but that makes sense to me, especially if it takes place on an archipelago.
-
Voyage ({Cost},Tap a crewed vehicle you control: Search your library for a basic island card and put it onto the battlefield tapped and exerted.)
-
@Stormtide I agree that the mutual benefit cards seem far more fun than the mutual loss. Do you have ideas on how to make similar things for blue and red? I could have black regenerate a creature you don't control and regenerate two creatures you…

New subtype: Artisan An Artisan is associated with the following ability. {Name} ({t}: Create a green Basket artifact token with "Sacrifice this artifact: Add {g} to your mana pool.")

This link works. https://mtgcardsmith.com/user/TezzeretofCarmot21/sets/23365

@TezzeretofCarmot That link is borked, my friend.
-
This is my Memories cycle for Zendikar's rebirth. Red might be too powerful as it involves land destruction, and black should force sacrifice, but I think they're fine otherwise. What do you guys think? https://mtgcardsmith.com/view/memories-of-u…

@Stormtide I see. I guess that pure generic creatures would explain the unknown threat of the Maw, though it may be difficult not to blame Eldrazi with that setup.
-
I see. I thought that you were referring to the new <> mana, not just generic. Maybe you are referring to <>. I really can't tell. It certainly would set it apart from everything else in the set, though I do feel that having practica…

Bump?
-
Not quite sure if this is what you were looking for with U/B, but it's certainly a thing.

@Stormtide Another reason why not to use Crystallize, in my opinion. Not every card in the set needs to be four or five colours--I could just make a cycle or two for four-coloured commons. I don't understand what you mean by 'fix the environmen…
