My biggest problem with this card currently is its starting mana cost. I can't tell if it's too good or too weak, though it may be neither. Any thoughts?
-
@Glasletter Why?
-
@MagicChess I'm slightly surprised that it doesn't have a more prominent presence in Keyword Soup...
-
@Glasletter It isn't named, so it shouldn't be legendary.
-
Well, if it lasts until your next turn, +0/+1 isn't completely useless. Especially if Thresh needs to tap for his abilities.
-
Now, Thresh seems fairly balanced, but there is a minor nitpick I have with his first ability. Thresh's lantern can only be used by allies, and it gives a minor shield when activated. If you wanted to emulate this more closely, Thresh's lantern wo…

I know how Anivia works. I studied League for two years in middle school. There are two main problems with this rework. 1--Anivia's egg has less health than she does. Making the egg a two toughness creature for a one toughness Anivia doesn't mak…
-
Well, Anivia can die. I'd write her passive ability as 'when this creature dies, if its power is greater than zero, it gets -3/-0 until the end of your next turn.' That's just me... take my advice as you will.

(I can't respond to Sanjaya because his message is incomprehensible. I have no idea what he's trying to do...)
-
Certainly not a full counter, but it's quite difficult to make a direct counter with RNG. Not without completely breaking it, at least.
-
-... ..- -- .--.
-
@creepybeagle Sure, that would work. It would be useful to get a feel for this challenge.
-
@creepybeagle SpiritDragon won't be available until Monday.
-
I'm guessing the only person who still needs to enter is SpiritDragon and, possibly, Brainifyer.
-
@modnation675 Not quite. It's more of a game than a contest. My thinking's all screwy right now...
-
@modnation675 I'm not going to say something that isn't true.
-
@modnation675 The gimmick of this character is that he's supposed to be an RNG bomb. It's not just supposed to be mind games--the magic itself is uncontrollable
-
@AbzanCompany This seems like it would be a great pick in a Selesnya tokens deck, and would be a great pull with Collected Company. It's only powerful if you build around it, but in any other case it would be quite weak. Overall, I think the help…

Bump?
-
@MagicChess That would work, but it would be best,if the cards were either revealed, or not looked at. That way, you're not must picking and choosing which card will end up on top, or if you are, there would be a consequence of everyone knowing yo…
-
@MagicChess I'm already planning on putting Scrying into the set, so it would probably be better to have a separate card with a text similar to 'Whenever you scry, you may instead look at the bottom cards of your library.' That way, we don't throw…
-
@ningyounk I meant Suture Priest. One creature is reborn, and they immediately give you right life.

Does anyone have specific ideas for additional mechanics? A simple way to start would be a mechanic that rotated your library before you draw (putting N cards from the bottom of your library on top) to make cards that counter to the bottom less pot…
-
Rebirth seems like it would combo well with ETB effects as well, due to the blinking nature of the mechanic.
-
@SpiritDragon "I have been thinking of designing a set based around my mask people cards so here it is."
-
His left arm reaches for Skaur's blighted blade, but something seems to be restraining him. "Noki... let me give them another purpose. If I don't fix them, someone else will..."
-
@SpiritDragon It's a plane based on your card about mask people. The story on Mercadia had something to do with masks, thus the name, Mercadian Masques.
-
@brcien I completely missed your question about races. As with many other things, it depends on the region. Humans and elves are the most common species, but vedalken and kithkin also live on the islands of Tixalni, vyren (sentient, humanoid tang…
