Perhaps Gorgons shape metal rather than turning things to stone. The person is still alive, but in a state of stasis and coated in some sort of metallic plating.

Certain file types are immediately rejected but the token/planeswalker maker. That might be why it isn't working for you guys.

@Djayhero I think it would be much more useful and arguably more balanced if you add a "You may" clause, but that might damage flavour a bit. Right now, I'd say it is too expensive.

How about an instant that makes you gain life at the end of combat equal to the amount of conbat damage you were dealt? It's a more limited Fog, but it still gives your opponents on-hit effects.
