My submission for a novel untapped dual land: Now will the next Cardsmith please make: A card with Aftermath (the split-card mechanic from Amonkhet block) or A card representing a creature from a non-European, non-East Asian mythology or culture…

When I'm unhappy, one thing that helps me unwind is puppies. Lots of puppies. So I made you a puppy, on loan from Sigarda.
-
@KrampisZman Trostani's Summoner created 10 power for seven mana at uncommon, and Armada Wurm made 10 power with trample for six mana, at mythic. This seems fine, given the additional color.
-
Thanks for the great contest! Please fave my two entries for this contest, this card, and any other two from my recent cards that you happen to like.
-
Here's my submission! It's a little bit of a bend, but you can still use it to win if you throw it on your opponent.
-
Very nice! That's a very interesting design. For another challenge, design a card to hate against the energy mechanic from Kaladesh, but not in a direct way like Solemnity did.
-
Ah, I remember this. It was fun! So design for me a card themed around the concept of true love.

The biggest problem with making Sliver cards is that it's next to impossible to find appropriate art. They have a very specific aesthetic. Except for the Shandalar ones, but I prefer to pretend those don't exist.
-
@ningyounk , actually, to rise to @Faiths_Guide 's defense, exert is a keyword. It's just not a 'keyword ability', but rather a 'keyword action' (rule 701.37), which puts it in the same family as scry, goad, proliferate, and populate. It's not exact…

Definitely Zendikar. A simple adventure world is a good place to get normies invested in the franchise. The guilds of Ravnica are a little too complex to just throw people into, so save that for a sequel.
-
@Yro , yes, I'm sorry to say. I like that Tremors art though! This discussion is closed.
-
@KrampisZman , because every superhero movie (and that's what this is), needs at least two antagonists!
-
@Lujikul , The Rock's too likable to be Garruk. We need someone more monster than man, which is why I nominate Hafthor Bjornsson, the Icelandic strongman who plays The Mountain in Game of Thrones.

Second entry:

Here's my submission. I'd been looking for something to do with this art!
-
So this is essentially a re-skin of Snow lands and snow mana, but only for three colors?
-
Can you explain in a little more detail exactly how the steam mechanic works, please?
-
I'm pretty sure there have been other finance threads in these forums, but they always dried up because there's not enough interest in the Cardsmith community. You might be better served on Reddit.
-
@sorinjace , I think this might be the sort of thing we're looking for. ;-)
-
@KalamMekhar Hard to say. I don't really like Armageddons in the first place, since I think they're unfun. But if you take that away, you've basically got Barren Glory, but easier to win with.
-
@KalamMekhar , I would win with that by using mana rocks to activate Nevinyrral's Disk on turn 5, or potentially earlier. I just made this, and I haven't decided yet if I'm embarrassed by it.
-
I got a 57/75. It was definitely tougher than I expected. Also, I made this, because the meme isn't dead yet.
-
Here's an older card of mine, with Jackal tribal! My only regret is that I made him before HoD came out, so I didn't know much about the deserts outside Naktamun. If I had, I'd have made him the Ramunap Packleader, not the Ifnir Packleader, since th…

Okay, this contest is CLOSED FOR JUDGING!
-
Hey folks, just letting you know that I plan to close the contest for judging on Sunday, so get your submissions in!
-
@Tomigon Oooh! I like that take!
-
I tried to do this kind of deck once, but I ended up forgetting about it. The key is that you have to drop the biggest, baddest creature you can, as quickly as possible. It needs to be cheap, but potent, something that can win you the game without a…

In before it closes!

Thanks for hosting the contest! This was a good theme. You can put my prize likes on whichever of my recent cards you happen to enjoy. I'm not picky.
