@creepybeagle , it's a neat design, but it doesn't fulfill the rules of the challenge. It needs to search for a specific creature type.
-
Welcome back, @Grimshac ! It's awesome to see you back from retirement!
-
@HeroKP Does exiling and bringing a creature onto the battlefield count as "becoming a creature"? Sure!
-
@sanjaya666 , while I like your design, it doesn't meet the rules of the challenge. You need to tutor for a card with a creature type.
-
@NicolBolasFTW , no one said it had to be serious! And it's been a long time since I've seen a Bringer card. That takes me back!
-
Here's my submission. Finding owls in particular is a bit of a challenge.
-
I'm kinda surprised my submission isn't already a card.
-
@modnation675 , the Evangel has first strike, so going into combat with another first striker will result in simultaneous damage. @IanLowenthal , when weird effects like what you're proposing happen, try to focus on the most recent state of the cre…

Here's my submission, with a sideways approach, of course.

I'm not sure if this fits the challenge perfectly, but I saw the art and was inspired to make a white version of Deadly Wanderings. Sometimes you just gotta get away from the hustle and bustle to hunker down and open your third eye.
-
I'd contribute, but my most favored card is a planeswalker based on a short-lived carrot meme that went around here. We should bring that back.
-
Hey @Corwinnn, I'm gonna be the spoilsport who tells you that you misspelled 'advice' on your most popular masterpiece.
-
Sure, that's what this site is for! You're free to make whatever sort of cards you like, as long as they're not obscene. We have quite a few people who make anime-themed card sets.
-
Oh dear, I hope you feel better soon! :-/
-
A second submission!
-
This was a brilliant idea for a contest! It got my cardsmithing brain churning again! Here's my submission:
-
I'm sorry, do you mean file size or image dimensions?
-
@NokiSkaur , yours!
-
Woo!
-
@sanjaya666 , we're all kids while we're playing with our toys. ;-)

Now for the top three! In third place: Soul of Rabiah, by @Gelectrode . I loved the reference to Bazaar, but what really made this one a winner for me was how you used the protection ability to make some interesting interactions in deciding when…
-
Okay, here we go kids! Honorable mentions: Soul of Tarkir, by @TheCenterOfTheUniverse . Manifest wasn't the most powerful, but it was one of the most distinctive mechanics from Khans block, and I liked it. There wasn't really much connection to …

Hi folks, just wanted to let you know that I haven't forgotten about you. The judging is done, but I haven't had time to make a nice pretty post about it, the way I like. Sorry!
-
Okay folks, the contest is CLOSED FOR JUDGING! Thank you all for your submissions!

Huzzah! Congrats to the other winners! I'd like my favorites on these cards, please. https://mtgcardsmith.com/view/midnight-steed-1?list=user https://mtgcardsmith.com/view/realmglass?list=user https://mtgcardsmith.com/view/planar-dissolution?list=…

@sanjaya666 , @Credius The card is very powerful, mostly due to the confluence of all of the different edges you've given it. The repeatable counter ability may not seem that strong, but it definitely is. Ironically, one of the best parts is what y…

@Credius The contest ends tomorrow, Saturday October 7th, at whatever time I wake up. Which means that this is everyone's ~24 HOUR NOTICE. You have an entry limit of three submissions. You're welcome to post more, but you must specify which three…
-
@Faiths_Guide , @Credius , have no fear! I'll rule them fair on the grounds that the five Shards of Alara were independent planes for a millennium prior to being recombined during Alara block. Plenty of time to develop their own Souls.
-
Hello everyone, I'm pleased to announce that this contest has become a Circuit Challenge! As such, circuit points are up for grabs, in addition to the normal favorites. The contest closes on Saturday, October 7, so get your entries in!

@IanLowenthal , sorry, but no. I'll allow a little flexibility, but those are a bit too far from the original Soul's mechanical structure.
