This is actually awesome news! I know a lot of people that went off-site to make cards with these, so now they have now reason to (hopefully).
-
This was a really neat contest and there were so many cool and different ways people went about it! Congrats to the other winners, and well done to everyone else as well. Thanks @RayearthIX for hosting! As for the cards I'd like favorited: https://m…

Question! Can I do a mono-colored symbol and hybrid? {u}{b/r}?
-
"This creature dies before creatures without martyr" honestly seems to be a much less wordy way of saying it. The language you used could be part of the rulings for it, but having it all spelled out like that on the card feels unnatural.
-
I honestly have no idea how exactly it would even work. It's something that wizards would avidly avoid printing on a card. There's a reason they avoid talking about stuff like the stack on cards if they can help it.
-
That sounds correct, both your reasoning and your suggestion on rewording.
-
Oh wow, thanks for the contest and the win. And well done to all the other contestants. As for prize, I'd love it if you just had a quick look through my recent cards and faves or commented on one you liked. If that's too much, just a comment or fav…

Maro has admitted that they've got a bad habit of ruining the things players liked about a word. I also believe he mentioned at one point that they considered transform for Lorwyn/shadowmoor, but at the time it wasn't really feasible for them.

Bumping this to help continue to highlight all the great challenges happening lately!

Bumpity bump bump, bumpity bump bump, look at this thread go!

Yee!

Made a card that's sort of supposed to represent me.
-
Kind of depicting my mental illness, personality, interests, and gender identity. I don't normally break from magics aesthetics and flavor text rules, but this seemed like an okay time to do so.
-
@murkletins judging time?
-
@FantasyBrew They removed the tribal typelines and added the option to add your own custom supertype. For future reference.
-
I have an idea or two as well that I've been thinking about.
-
Congrats to our winners! And thank you for the neat contest @murkletins I'm glad I could help inspire it.

Even the most common of people can fall when times are dire. And there was no greater crisis on Innistrad than the looming arrival of Emrakul. I decided to try and push myself and make a transform card at common that was still playable, and I think …

B and C both sound like fun ideas!

Obviously I'm just that good ;P or I keep the forum open and refresh it all the time...

Dimir has eyes, ears, and hands everywhere. Down the hall comes the sounds of its mushy footsteps, the dripping from its tongue like a bell toll, counting towards the inevitable. Remain quite, stay quiet, just keep- The grove faeries love to relax…

Damn, was expecting to see @Corwinnn here with all this squirrel talk.
-
@murkletins Obviously the choice is yours. You are the one funding it, and it's a big challenge, so I think everyone would understand if it needed to be delayed. Don't stretch yourself too thin! And I'm sure international contestants would enjoy the…

@Je_Suis_Oluwa actually EternalWolf88 did, they just didn't post the image of it on here, but there's a link to their card right above my submission. Just an fyi.
-
Well shucks, how nice of you!
-
@The-DM on mtgcs we don't have bullet points, so people use the asterisk * Other people will opt to make cards on MTG.Design and share them here when they run into formatting issues like that.
-
Come on y'all, we have less than half the entries so far!
-
Thanks for the contest! And congrats to Faiths_Guide!

That's generally my stance as well. I've only ever bought used copies of his books, and I've avoided reading any of his other work.
