My submission:

@KJMartin How is this not much more powerful than Eldritch Evolution? Eldritch Evolution may let you fetch a creature that's 2 mana more expensive than the one you sacrificed, but yours lets you a) fetch from exile (which makes it a counter to exile…
-
@KJMartin Great flavour, but cheating out an expensive creature isn't that hard, so it could actually be pretty broken with Eldrazis, since you're generating additional value by copying the abilities of one creature onto another. I'd remove the last…
-
I don't think Fade works as a sorcery. It seems like an in-built flicker, which means it needs to be instant speed or you can't dodge removal or combat damage, which is kind of the point of flicker.
-
@KJMartin: Personally, I'd only like the splitting up of colours into pairs if it was symmetrical. So if there's a land that taps for A or B and you can pay life to tap for C or D, I'd like one that does the opposite too. @unicornsareevil13579 Go a…
-
It's pretty good! Some factions are more instant-speed than others, so perhaps there could be an alternate cycle that instead costs life to tap? Or that requires bouncing a land already in play? I think there's a lot of potential for 4-colour lands,…

@TheFriendlyGeek Those are really good!
-
@KJMartin Depends on when/how it triggers. I was thinking of a version that has an additional ETB effect if you cast a non-creature spell this turn, and also of a version like Morbid that checks every turn at the end. As for the rest, I agree parti…
-
@KJMartin: Yeah, Sophisticated is a lot like Prowess, but it goes on enchantments and artefacts instead of creatures, and it creates an effect rather than give it +1/+1. Literally the only thing they have in common is the trigger and the duration. A…
-
@TheFriendlyGeek The main problem with the first one is that colour identity is only used (to my knowledge) in Commander products. You'd have to go with coloured mana spent to cast it, or the colour of the permanent itself. Another problem is that…
-
@KJMartin: That's about as generic a mechanic as it comes, I'm afraid. It's completely flavourless and mechanically fits literally anywhere. If I may make a case for Sophisticated, I have a couple of examples of how the mechanic actually fits the s…
-
Hmm. Those are very good points, @Platypusburger! If we moved Surpass to Altruism, we'd need a new mechanic for Unnaturalness. The main problem is that Green doesn't really have something it doesn't interact with (except exile, but that's a univers…

@KJMartin I literally said that Blue has artefact synergy? Like, if you have a Blue card that fetches you an artefact from the library or the graveyard, you absolutely can pick an equipment, because it's an artefact. Any of Blue's artefact synergies…
-
Huh? Blue has artefact synergy (which covers equipment) as well as plenty of auras. White has auras too and fetches equipment specifically. Red has a few auras and interacts with artefacts in different ways. Black tutors for anything and has a coupl…
-
@KJMartin: I think that works (tentatively leaving it as "a main phase" for now might be better). @Lujikul: Well, Abandon is actually inherently good against that because it requires other Abandon cards, which makes it hard to just pick the good on…
-
@TheFriendlyGeek It would actually be confusing wording if it did. If the spell says "Target creature gets +3/+3 until end of turn. Succour: If [cardname] was cast on an attacking or blocking creature, it gets trample." That's valid and easy to unde…
-
@TheFriendlyGeek: My phrasing is actually valid, we have plenty of cases (mostly in White) that specifies target attacking or blocking creature. Your version is actually a lot more applicable in general, so I'd agree with it as a replacement. @KJMa…
-
For Abandon: Could change it into a cost reduction instead of a free cast. Abandon [Cost] (You may cast a spell for its Abandon cost if you exile a card with Abandon from your hand or your graveyard). This way, it's like Surge, but it requires y…
-
@unicornsareevil13579: Abandon is an alternative cost mechanic. It's not activated or triggered because it refers to how you pay for a spell. Abandon lets you exile two cards (one from hand, one from graveyard) that have the same or higher mana cost…
-
The main problem with hybrid mana is that it has generally been used in two ways: Either both colours can do whatever's on the card, which limits design space to where both colours overlap; or the permanent is sacrificed or lacks abilities if you d…
-
For Goroth: Maybe exile from the hand and the graveyard? Like "Abandon N: Exile a card with converted mana cost N or less from your hand and your graveyard. You may cast this card without paying its mana cost." Going 2-for-1 actually feels like a re…

Congratulations to the winners!

@Lujikul There's actually a misconception here: undead aren't necessarily evil, and White isn't anti-undead, it's anti-Other (it hates things that do not conform). This is clearest in the Innistrad sets, where we see White having plenty of ghosts an…
-
Those are good ideas! For Goroth: the problem with mechanics that let you exile cards from the graveyard to play for costs is that they make "fire and forget" decks even stronger. It was the main reason Delve was so loathed. For a deck that doesn't…
-
No problem, @KJMartin! I'd recommend moving the warrior clans you have in Decisiveness, not because they don't fit there, but because I think they fit Disorder better (as they seem to have little community/society, and tend to be wary or civilisat…

A very interesting premise! I like the idea of a world shield or great barrier, as a fan of abjurations. Looking forward to seeing how it all comes together!
-
Since I came across an interesting bit of meta when the 4-colour Commander decks were revealed, I figured I'd share this with you. Basically, a group of MTG fans got together on discord to discuss how to call each of the 4-colour groups and determin…

Continents where it is not currently winter: Oceania, South America, Africa, (parts of) Asia.
-
@Nanosaurus: Not a problem! If it's a custom creature type you're using, it's perfectly valid. And the wording is just nitpicking, so no worries! :P

I have added my final submission to my previous post.
