@TheDukeOfPork I agree with @feralitator, the current Test Subject mechanic seems relatively good. I think the second iteration you had of Test Subject could be reworked as a test subject having Ward 2.

@AboveAndAbout thanks for the contest and feedback! It was a fun challenge, and I enjoyed looking at everyone's cards!

@Jonteman93 thanks for letting me know. I'll keep it in mind if you start Planeswalker's Journey 3

@mmm3creator this was a fun contest! Like @Jadefire said, this was a good follow-up to the Update Old Legendary Creature challenge!

@TheDukeOfPork I agree that we should probably at least get some of the mechanics down before we do heavy lore. Maybe Test Subject can be a spell-based mechanic a little like spell mastery; maybe "Test Subject - If targeted creature has the lowest …

@TheDukeOfPork sounds good

Somewhat similar to what mmm3 was asking, is it alright if we use a character we've already created for a different challenge for this contest?

@TheDukeOfPork thanks for the contest! It was fun. Thanks for the feedback on the cards. Feel free to favorite any cards of mine you like. For the gift of favorites, give them to some of the other cards that entered that you liked.

I mean, considering it's a science based set, there's going to be some sort of separation between various disciplines.

The city-state of Draam lies in a small valley in the border between a savannah and one of Fabacin's vast forests. The existence of strange creatures from both sides of the valley requires watchful sentries on its walls. If asked, the sentries freel…

@TheDukeOfPork I was thinking something with like a "tap for mana" ability and then a "tap for something that this specific branch of science does". For example, the ecology/botany lab would have "2, Tap: Create a 1/1 green Plant creature token" or …

Maybe there could be a cycle of laboratory-eque artifacts that support each branch of science. They could support the draft archetypes or something.

well that isn't ominous
-
Sure, this sounds fun. I'm in.

Would horology be more in line with the physics branch or the astronomy branch? At present, I'm tending towards the astronomy branch. I also feel horology/astronomy lands would either scry or be able to get cards from the graveyard.
-
Yes, it was. I see why you said it was a text-heavy one.

I voted as well

I'm sure Bolas will make a cameo or two in coming sets, since he was the Big Bad of the most recent major arc. However, since he's had both his planeswalker spark and his name stripped away and been imprisoned on a separate plane, I think any appear…

"The war is always calling, hmm?" Tenar asked. Sarai looked over at the her as the squire brought the knight-commander her armor. "It's one of the constants of this world. We've known this since the beginning." Tenar sighed. "I know. It's just...…

Sounds fun!

So, are the cards going to be presented as text, or as images?

Leaving the Fortress Arha sat back in her chair, rubbing her palms. She could still feel the red-hot metal beneath them, even hours after Kara had healed them. She chuckled a little. Whoever fights Sturgar next won't enjoy getting close to him, sh…
