@jaceberlin Yeah I put it your counter contest. I meant for it to be a nicer counterspell, one that mainly focuses on burn and removal and protecting yourself rather than disrupting your opponent's whole game plan.

@LordTachanka123 ...wasn't that the idea? If Gio is going to end up in the set, which I think is a good idea, I'd imagine we'd keep the gist of his backstory, which involves art thievery.

@Alextorrez6 thanks for the catch on the artist! It's pretty great art, I usually remember to credit. Anyways, I'm pretty sure it counts because when it taps creatures you control, you can pay to trigger it, after which it untaps itself.

I do think that Gio needs to be Dimir to work, but I think Lizza should be monoblack, not monoblue. I just have such a strong sense of her character, and while she is a plotting individual, I don't see monoblue fitting nearly as well as monoblack.
