Wow, I step away for a couple weeks, and all I can say is, this discussion is aptly titled.

I definitely prefer a well-rounded evaluation of a card. Most cards I make may excel in one or two categories, but have short comings in others. It wouldn't be fair if someone just happened to have a bunch of cards that are really flavorful, but o…

I love whatever I haven't done before. I love winning with complex and convoluted combos. I love wins where it gets to the point where I feel like I can just about do everything, for instance, I had a game yesterday on Arena where I had blinked Or…

I have two general approaches, and I think they align with a top down or bottom up kind of approach. Sometimes, I am playing or crafting or watching MTG content and think "wouldn't it be cool to have a card that did ___?" So I make a card that doe…

Battle - Duel (Any player may attack a duel. Any other player may choose to block a creature attacking a duel.)
-
@kaoz42 I did this before I saw your idea, but it's a battle type called Duel. Thought you'd be interested.
-
@TheDarkKnight1234567 Can you imagine the games? "Before I take this action, let me double check your library one more time to make sure you're not able to flash in some crazy answer." or "Okay, last game you had 3 of these, but now I only see 2. E…

Welcome @flatmap I'm not going to lie, I absolutely love The Sky is Falling. It made me laugh and yet is flavorful and simple and interesting, everything we were hoping for. @smax765 I have to say, the Eclipse Ritualist is pretty elaborate. The …

Idea: A Commander for Charge Counter tribal (Also, I love this thread. So many cool ideas!)

Anything that's in italics is not part of the rules text. (Though, if you "keyword" some elaborately complicated ability just to mess with this discussion, we'll all see through that.)
-
Yeah, there are lots of functionally similar cards out there. There are even some official cards that are more similar than mine. It's not really a concern to me at all. Maybe mine's for a mono-red devotion deck, where it would be an upgrade. Ei…

Just for fun, here are the two cards that I made back to back that inspired this discussion:
-
It is the big day, so I thought I'd drop one more creepy card. Not really sure what category it fits best, but, this is just for fun anyways, so, who cares.
-
@FireOfGolden At least you have a definitive answer. I, however, have managed to draw as many rounds as not.
-
Yeah, I don't know if I've ever scored this low. I don't really care (I'm not especially proud of most of the cards I've got going this week), but I am really curious what aspect is being judged that would be so low scoring across the board.
-
@Jadefire Love the Pun!
-
So, I just made both sides of a double sided card and was curious, since it's been forever since I tried the double sided thing, does this league score them separately or together?
-
For the "Oh the Horror!" contest:

@FireOfGolden I can't say how awesome it is to see so many amazing cardsmiths exploring my Relapse mechanic. It's really cool to see the ideas that I would never have come up with on my own. I absolutely think Body's Disintegrate is one of those g…

Can you review The Blob? Would be a nice Halloween special if you want to wait until closer to the end of the month.
-
That's really cool! I like the fact that his ability is most potent in the graveyard, but also that's where he's most at risk of getting shuffled away and lost forever. I love cards that are walking that line of helping and hurting themselves.
-
Well, at least I'm consistent. I scored 85, 85, 85, 85, 85, 80, and 85 this week.
-
@jpastor I don't believe the equipment would work, because the creature is not equipped anymore when put into a graveyard, but I really like the modal spell (though that option might have to read "this card gains relapse as it resolves" or something…
-
Really like the Challonge setup. It's nice, when taking a loss, to also see I have 3 cards that got a score of 93, so I'm not actually doing so bad, just had a rough match up.
-
Awww! They're so cuddly...sorta.
-
Is The Blob a classic Halloween monster? It's definitely a classic monster, and I really like this design, so I'm putting it here:
-
Okay, so we're at: Relapse (When this card is put into a graveyard from anywhere, shuffle a random card from that graveyard into it's owner's library.) I think that works and, somehow, is also the shortest reminder text I've put up so far.
-
I think this is what we should go with: Relapse (When this card enters a graveyard from anywhere, choose a card at random from that graveyard and shuffle it into it's owner's library.) Any issues with that wording?
