Ooh, I like that. I think that you always want high tide, although it turns to low tide too. Maybe something like this: High-tide (When this [permanent] enters the battlefield, set the tide counter to high. At the beginning of your next upkeep, set…

@ningyounk Kicker is a simple mechanic that would fit that description.
-
@ningyounk Okay, I see your point. Earlier in the thread you mentioned that the next two mechanics had to be one permanent based mechanic and one spell based mechanic. As Masterwork is permanent based, should the next mechanic be spell based?
-
I think the next mechanic should probably be discover or another mechanic that helps smooth out the set. A lot of sets use a mechanic that creates card advantage (Scry returning in Theros, Explore in Ixalan, Cycling returning in Amonkhef) and I feel…
-
@ningyounk I agree with you that progress should defiantly be the central theme. Maybe the theme of swashbuckling shouldn’t be represented with a mechanic, but perhaps on a few cards to evoke the feel of the Three Musketeers and such.
-
Hello. Sorry I haven't helped at all with this. I don't know about you, but when I think of the renaissance, I think of swashbuckling. Could the fourth mechanic possibly chapter the flavor of that?
-
Hmm... I will probably get the time on Saturday. Mono colour here I come!
-
Could Serra have visited the plane?
-
Howdy! Sorry I haven't been on in a while. I have a trillion and one other projects going on. I LOVE the anthropomorphic character idea, and in a world of emotion and fantasy, they don't seem very odd. Also, could the five "Tod's" be a cycle?
-
And I approve an alliance between the two, I will once again fight against the invasion of Pokemon, but this time against Star Wars too.
-
I'm 100% on the side of Kookies and Squirrels.

@pjbear This contest sort of died anyway, so yes, of course!

Hey guys, here are the winners: 1st Place (3 points): @ASubtleGhost 2nd Place (2 points): @IanLowenthal 3rd Place (1 point): @Beeswax THE NEXT CHALLENGE: Of course, all factions need some sort of Headquarters, and that's exactly what the next chall…

Hey guys, sorry that the lore hasn’t been published in a while! I’m working on it!
-
@Kandra127 Cool!
-
@MagicChess Why thank you.
-
@MagicChess I meant “start a lore doc” in the sense of brainstorming. If I get a great idea I will just put it on.
-
@MagicalMagic Yes, that is an interesting approach
-
Hey folks, this set is going into a SPRING BREAK for the next month. See you guys on April 1st!
-
@Ningyounk Sorry, school and other activities got in the way of me helping out the last five days. I'll start a lore doc of ideas and release it on April 1st.
-
@KrampisZman But, thank you for the memes.
-
@KrampisZman Oh jeez! I did not mean it like that. I just wanted you to change the name to something else... I am so sorry for the confusion! @IanLowenthal Nope, I didn’t notice.
-
@RayearthIX To be honest, I didn't really make the Jew-J.E.W connection. Sorry about that. @KrampisZman, if you wouldn't mind, could you rename it and edit your comments?
-
It looks like a less complicated time spiral... I mean, the entire set is just references to old things that only die-hard fans will understand. I mean, I am a die-hard fan, so this is %&$%(&%(&@% awesome, but I worry for beginners. Also…

@Corwinnn "Conjure mana" "Assemble mana" "Muster mana" "Call mana" "Gather mana" "Invite mana" "Beckon mana" "Mobilize mana"

@KrampisZman That lore totally made my day! : ) By the way, where are the Illuminati?
