@Alchemist An infinite chain of instruction indeed, but attached to a tiny, fragile little mythic rare legendary 2/2 body. I see your point though. How could I make it less powerful while keeping the concept of the esper tactician intact? I'm fond o…

@bnew07 This cycle is really awesome. Perhaps I'm missing something, but shouldn't Ruthless Ultimatum say 'without paying their mana costs'. Otherwise you have to cast the spells with mana, which you can't do what with all of your mana having been s…

Cool, thanks! Can you favourite: https://mtgcardsmith.com/view/lichs-feast-1

Fate reforged war-mages from each of the clans (or as I like to call them, khanates, since each is led by a khan). Each is a three cmc 3/3 with each of the three colours and a powerful ETB effect.
-
Might be a little bit super overpowered, but there we go...
-
My final example card, released as we enter the last eight days of the competition. Nothing screams dark power than draining your opponents life total.
-
I think this is my eighth entry... though I'm not sure.

@sorinjace I'll be counting double faced entries as a single card.
-
Inspired by Divine Intervention.
-
Perhaps that would work better. For me it was really a flavour thing that differentiated them from bestow enchantments, however I can see that all abilities opens up some more design space. There could be creatures that care about being inspired. A…

Perhaps this could solve your problem with my living art mechanic: At common, the creature is vanilla save for its activated ability. That way it's clear what the inspired creature gets: the single activated ability.
-
Exactly. It also plays well with stuff like graveyard marshal, which also exile zombies from your 'yard.
-
The bane of my zombie deck's existence is exile based removal. In view of that, here's a zombie that wants my other cards in exile. Also, zombies have never also been artifacts before. These guys are cyborg zombies. They upgrade themselves by recycl…

This is a cycle of legendary creatures from Ravnica which could be one of two different guilds. Basically, they 'join up' to a guild of their choice. They work like the 'siege' cycle from Fate Reforged. The cycle also has increasing mana costs, fro…

Goblins! Goblins! Goblins! Goblins! Goblins! Goblins! Goblins! You get the idea.

Another zombie tribal card. Fortunately, green does care about high power.
-
While there are green zombies, there are no mono-green zombies.
-
Dimir colours don't usually care about power, but I think since this one wants to buff zombies it works.
-
Hi everyone! This competition is reaching its halfway point. Just to remind you that it still exists and you can still enter.
-
"I'm bored of this game already! Let's play something else!" ... If you want to lose some friends, choose Monopoly. If you want the other players to hate you for the rest of your life, choose Risk.
-
The Izzet are the kind of guild to mash all their keywords onto one card to create this freakish abomination.
-
Another Golgari entry with undergrowth.
-
Wow! Thanks. Just favourite three of my cards you like the look of. Glad you like the mechanic.
-
I'm going to keep doing examples, which is really a sneaky way of bumping the competition up to the top of the conversation. What's scary? Ancestral recall. One mana for three cards? That's just terrifying. This doesn't have quite the same raw po…
