bluprintmtg
Hey guys! I'm really enjoying the whole R&D side to magic, so I've started a YouTube channel, BluprintMTG (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCwOAzl5xQWpMlzM__QnZhUg). It'd be much appreciated if you decide to check it out, and I hope you enjoy the content.

I know that this isn't aligned with the story canon, but I liked always liked the design of Oaths and planeswalker specific cards in general, so I explored the design space a little bit.

https://mtgcardsmith.com/view/forlorn-drifter The mechanic is "Solitude" - if you only control one creature, effect X This is mostly designed for creatures, but would also apply to some enchantments and equipment.

A callback to a classic card. http://mtgcardsmith.com/view/angel-of-runes

Sorry for waiting so long, but here are the results as promised (just not in the timely manner promised). In third place is Magus of the Seal, by @Connor2001. This card has a clean design that reflects a powerful tutor. Magus of the Edict takes se…

Yeah that's a lot better, thanks

@Tomigon Thanks! I overlooked the un-sets when trying to find examples. I still think that it could use some of the wording of Nevermore and similar cards. I would like it to be able to combo well with Declaration of Naught

http://mtgcardsmith.com/view/infinite-beyonds This may be stupid, but it sure does a whole lot of nothing.

I'm so psyched I found this in time! I love this side of card design.

As promised, here are the results. I chose to include two honorable mentions because it was hard to let good cards go unappreciated. (The creators of the honorable mentions will receive one favorite of their choice.) So without further ado, here are…

Alright, from this point on, I will no longer be accepting submissions. Thanks to everyone for participating, and expect to see results by tomorrow.

@RohanDragoon There is a limit of 5 entries per person.

I love all the entries, and thanks to everyone for participating. If you plan on getting in one last entry, be sure to get it in by Wednesday, March 16th.
-
@Faiths_Guide 3 entries at most. You may use cards that you've previously designed, but I'd love to see what you could do specifically for this one!
-
@NicoStoner I designed this contest with the pacts that make you pay mana upon upkeep in mind, but because your cards do fit the pact theme, I'll let it slide. Just a fair warning to others, however, other designs like Nico's would be judged harsher…

If they didn't print Supreme Verdict, they could have made this: http://mtgcardsmith.com/view/isperias-wrath

Here's my entry- http://mtgcardsmith.com/view/realm-of-possibilities

Well if the contest is still live, I'll put in my entry: http://mtgcardsmith.com/view/glorp-slime-overlord

These are supposed to be together, but unfortunately, the current card builder doesn't support split cards. Anyways, here they are: http://mtgcardsmith.com/view/try and http://mtgcardsmith.com/view/fail-3. Try//Fail

@QuertyThe0th Yes, you may post more than one, and it is actually encouraged to come up with a cycle if you can.

@Corwinnn Thanks, I guess I am being impatient

@Biblio1 Thanks, I never realized! I'll try to come up with a better one.

That's fair enough, as it is a contest

@Syrix Thanks! I'm no rules judge, I just know it is difficult to word that one. If something dies and returns to the battlefield, I think it might revert to the original form.
