I like the transform version but it just wouldn't be good in a play environment. Have we considered Split cards that have a creature side and an instant/sorcery side. That's probably pretty random but I feel there are so many directions you can take…

So if you're pitching a planeswalker, you gotta give me some story first. They are so important that you can't just slap one in. Ampryn Overseer is busted. Way way too strong unless he had some serious downside. Yes! In fact underdog was quite poo…

Bant and Rakdos would be fine. I am obsessed with birds, but it seems like what you have designed so far is bird tribal and some political cards. You're free to use any of the Vryn cards I've made as inspiration on politics! So much great art. Go…

I can't promise anything, but show me what you're thinking? Vryn is the home plane of Jace, but I like to think this set wouldn't have him be the main player.

Eruption itself doesn't go infinite, but "deal extra damage when you deal noncombat damage" triggers itself after it deals damage so it does it over and over again. You fixed it~ The desert itself isn't enough to know what kinds of cards to make. F…

The closest to monocolored matters are devotion from Theros and some obscure cards from the beginning of magic. Devotion implies religion is highly important which it shouldn't be if you don't want to be a khans of tarkir clone. For the same reason,…

So my first problem is I'm not a big fan of fabricate and token mechanics just aren't good in long term formats. Along with that, they mean you have to carry around other cards. I know a few tabletop friends who pull the bottom card of their deck as…

Again, for the value of follows to stay high, it is highly requested from the community to keep contest favorites at a maximum of five. I really value the favorites I get, so in this spirit, I will pick 2 and you can pick three. https://mtgcardsmit…

You could have a thing like monarch or ascension but it represent the life force of the living art. It would only last until end of turn though so you have to keep adapting to keep your stuff popping. Example Aviary Carapace (3) Artifact Creature-…

I am not very nitpicky about set symbols, but this is definitely getting close to a sweet settling point. I like the composition of the ones with black backboards. Could we also see nonblack backgrounds there?

@undead no sorry! Sweet card

I would actually put virtuoso lower. You don't have to have a named mechanic making tokens to have several cards that make that kind of token. Also on that mechanic, you could have a separate destruction mechanic than sacrifice. You could have -1/-1…

These two pop into my mind when thinking of emotional representation in green. Brawn is usually just used to talk about strength when compared to intellect, but considering it is in a cycle with wonder and anger, I think we can talk about it as an e…

@Undead I like it! Its effect looks Vryn even if the flavor seems left field!

First off, my gut is telling me to praise God. He's there when no one else is. I've been going through some bad trains of thought for a few months but there are good days I go back to him and remember how great he'sbeen to us. Atmosphere wise-- Ren…

@shadow123 Super wordy and the effect does the same thing whether the played land is an island or not. The wording is right, but it is super wordy for a pretty slow, not very powerful effect.
-
@ningyounk so we need to make some cards and some decks to see if the mechanics are fun to play? I'm down for that.

I prefer Opus as it is. It feels so perfectly black to shock yourself for power.

I think tournament favorites should be limited to five so I'll list 5 Tarkir: https://mtgcardsmith.com/view/concilitation-of-the-past Kamigawa: https://mtgcardsmith.com/view/tempermental-bakeneko Vryn: https://mtgcardsmith.com/view/reassemble-possi…
