I'll take a whack at it if there are still spots.

This is a pretty good read on the subject: http://magic.wizards.com/en/articles/archive/making-magic/storm-scale-khans-tarkir-block-2016-02-29

@dashdo101 Please read the contest creation rules. You are offering well beyond what's allowed for favorites as a reward. http://forums.mtgcardsmith.com/discussion/4/mtg-cardsmith-forum-rules#latest

He's right in that a good way to determine what a card costs is to compare what the aspects of the card cost by referencing other cards. If you're making something where and you don't know how to cost it because it is pretty unique, break down what …
-
@kimJongMartin For p1p1? There is a lot more to consider in a proper draft than just the card's usefulness on-board. If you take Chandra, you're in red but you're not committing as heavily to a specific strategy already like you are with cub (energ…
-
It's actually not overpowered, at least compared to similar cards. The main problem is that any player can use it to force a draw at pretty much any time which is really, really annoying.
-
Take Chandra most likely. She's a major bomb in Kaladesh limited. At the absolute worst, she's a slightly worse Welding Sparks (decent removal) and at best she gives you a massive advantage. I'd say only really Nissa is a better planeswalker in Kala…

You know what cards need instants/sorceries that make them stronger? Planeswalkers.
-
I think we should implement predictive features. When I have an idea and open up a new card, it should automatically pick my image for me and fill out the details so all I have to do is pick the set symbol.
-
I don't think there are any anime cards in the Wizards vault.

Tetra - Prefix meaning 'four' Penta - Prefix meaning 'five'

Pentavites are one better than Tetravites.

@kimjongmartin A user named @ImBadAtBalancing used to run art contests regularly that featured some incredible artists. Check them out here: http://forums.mtgcardsmith.com/discussion/comment/29045/

The contest will close to entries tomorrow night at 10pm EST.
-
@yousmelllikeapumpkin You sure can. Get those last entries and edits in, people!
-
Shoo, shoo. Keep your politics out of here. Only MTG politics allowed. Vote Marchesa for Queen 2017.
-
@TastyCheez @MTGCardsmith has to be the one to send out packs to users. Please confirm with him or you will likely not be able to provide physical packs as a reward.
-
@TrippleBoggey3 The contest isn't unrealistic. Like I said, WotC just came out with cards that have abilities which only do anything if another specific named card is on the battlefield, specifically Verdant Crescendo and Liberating Combustion. This…
-
I don't like the idea of this contest, count me out. Cards which only work with other specific cards is the kind of junk you see in Yugioh or the new, awful planeswalker decks.
-
Nope
-
The contest's days are numbered! Friday/Saturday this week are the last two days where we are accepting entries and allowing changes to existing entries! Get those final ideas polished and submitted!
-
@Faiths_Guide A lot.
-
If you read the topic, it explains it. If you submit high-quality, usable set icons of all rarities, you get a reward. They must be original work.
-
I have 6 masterpieces from Kaladesh so far. Sword of Feast and Famine makes limited very silly.
-
@DragonFaceEater I'm sure you could figure it out. Please don't make 30 topics for your contest.
-
If you make a contest every day, chances are you'll only get 1-3 entries per contest if any. If you do it, please use one thread.
-
Yoink
-
In case anyone needed inspiration, I made a sample entry of my own: It is clearly the best card and since I'm judging I'll probably pick it for first place. not really
-
@TrippleBoggey3 Next time you resurrect a thread, pay {2}{w}{w} or reconsider.

I don't understand... And I don't think it's underrated. First strike is pretty darn feared. Not that many creatures get it these days though and those that do tend to have low toughness...
