So question: if I have a card named “Dwarven Guy” and the art features a Dwarf, would it be really bad if he didn’t have the subtype Dwarf? Could he just be Scout or Peasant?

@archietaylor how long will the contest go?

There’s nothing wrong with lighthearted All my goblins and most of my orcs are borderline-Un

I have so very few cards that meet the specs. No Sheep, only a couple of Cats, some Beasts. I do have one card that cares about how many Sheep your opponent has, but that doesn't really count does it? My favorite is The Dingus. Beasts: …

@envyreaper @tigersol Observe: 5, Tap, Exile Ring of Ma'rûf: The next time you would draw a card this turn, instead choose a card you own from outside the game and put it into your hand.

@CnBCustoms Crooked Mortician is great. I've had that piece of art on file for about four months with nothing coming to mind. Great job.

A card by FanQuil

@KorandAngels You guys know that

Here are my three entries. First the old card: Then the new ones. I hope these two cards tell stories. First the rare: And the Uncommon. It's a flip Planeswalker.

@spookoops I love Civil Uprising!

Very good.

Wow, what great ideas everyone!!

I have a design hypothetical to ask and I don’t see a thread where we talk about hypotheticals. But I also don’t think my question warrants a whole thread of its own. Is there a place for such questions?

@raggeder congratulations!!

@suicidal_deity I keep two folders: one with the worked art, to which I add the name of the card for which it was used; and the other with an image of the finished card. That way I can reconstruct cards if I lose or delete them. At the moment I …

@KorandAngels I did take a look and I posted the feedback on Ukhal on the card. And favorited it!
-
In my opinion, my three funniest cards are all goblins.
-
@archietaylor I didn’t mean to pressure you to change the rule. I’m sorry if I helped to do that. Up to three cards to follow later.
-
@korandangels I know! So on Dwarfs. All dwarfs with modern card frames are red and/or white. There is one Zombie Dwarf from about 2002 that is black. Then going back to Homelands (!!!) there is a black Legendary Dwarf and a blue Legendary Dwar…

Ugh I have about 45 goblins that would work. And about 25 orcs. But they’re all old cards obvs.

We utilize the map a low because 1) the city is large but sparsely populated so sometimes you have to cross no-man’s land and 2) overland travel is a big part of the game. In the wilderness we use six-mike hexes. They are the most useful divisions…

I am a fairly regular DM and player. My map around the camping city has become detailed over the years but the world is enormous and we will spend many more years finding out what there is to see. There has been little crossover for me between D a…

I have a question that doesn’t have a card to go with it. If there was an aura that said “enchanted land is a Swamp” in the current color pie, would that card necessarily be blue? Could it be black?
-
Ten cards to start. Some are old but some are quite young. None were created after I saw this contest, however, so the last two will be all-new. This is a flip card: Here are traditional cards: Note that Magic has no green Dwarf creatur…

I still didn't get an envelope!! Oh well.

@ranshi would you like to use some of your common hybrid slots to make common gold cards instead? That sounds good.
-
@ranshi there are no slots for gold cards because they are hard to cast and in draft you want to be able to play the cards you draft. There are slots for hybrid cards which are easier to fit in but have the same feel mechanically. I think - think…
-
@ranshi You may make them how you like. It makes sense to keep them in the story you're telling but you can have them be standalones too. Of course they can be part of either team or whatever else makes sense to you.
