After a lot of thought and effort put into designing it, my legend pack is finally complete: Uncommon challanges: 1. legend that's all about surveil 2. legend that can increase its power 3. legend with mana value 4 Rare and mythic challanges: 4…

@AboveAndAbout Nizzahon Magic created the list based on the least percent of cards printed with a particular mechanic that performed well in competetive magic. It's not a list of powerful, hated, or badly designed mechanics, but a list of mechanics …

@AboveAndAbout Neat idea, but the challange is to create new and original player counters, not use the already existing ones. Reading the whole thing is important.

@BT9154 Both of your entries' arts are from actual Magic cards (Garruk's Horde and Setessan Training), I'd suggest changing it before judging or at least crediting the artists

I left out phasing because I personally don't like it that much (especially after then new Teferis) and it's kinda a weird old mechanic working in strange ways, but seeing as people want it here, I'll allow it after all.
-
I'll take a Pack, please

Here's a card: White/Black mana coloring obviously works best with this kind of artwork (as kinda seen with Rise of Extus), so I went with the easy route for my first entry, but it is what it is.

Second entry:

Here's a wizard:

Here's my member of the Consortium with his signature spell: Obrashai was a successful merchant from Mercadia. When his spark ignited in a warehouse fire, he quickly understood what was happening and saw opportunity. He began trading various ite…

I've decided that I've undervalued what four weeks of card design mean. For that I will increase the rewards and I'll also grant something to the people that left early, as they also put a lot of time and effort into this and I wouldn't want them to…

So the contest is finally over! I'm sad that we lost a lot of people along the way, but I do have to admit that the contest was rather long and it is hard to retain one's attention and time for making the cards for it. But anyone who dropped out dur…

I am very much down for some character making and stuff, so you'll probably see me around here in the future!

Hi! It's the 18th and as I've promised, judging will take place now. Let's do it! 1st place: @Jadefire's Pool of Vitality I love this thing. It's exactly what you are looking for in a land that itself doesn't have a mana ability. It needs to ramp i…

I'd like to get at least @pstmdrn's cards for the last week in before I judge this. It's a pitty most of the people here dropped out right before the end, but I do have to admit, I might have done this a little too long.

@Tonysparks Both

Second entry: https://mtgcardsmith.com/view/death-of-the-dishonorable I think it's pretty flavorful if you understand Samurai culture a little bit
-
First entry: https://mtgcardsmith.com/view/leafblade-ronin The main issue with bushido I think was that the creatures were a bit underpowerd in the base stats for their mana cost, so your opponent could just not block them and suffer less. I've ha…

Week Four: The End The end is here. You have managed to overcome the Gatewatch, locate Nicol Bolas in the Prison Realm and return his spark... or have you? There are two version of how this is going to end. 1) Create a card that showcases your wish…

Okay, so only three people completed week 3 challanges, but hopefuly other people will join back later. That being said, let's see the scoreboard: 1. @TerryTags with Malfegor (74) Maddening Choices. Firstly, I love the art. I'd compare this to Unde…

Done as well!

We'll move to the final week soon, but we're still missing entries from @Yonkers11's Kogi and @TheDukeOfPork's Kail'Afi

@TalentedTalonflame Very well done on all three parts! I find the card pretty interesting and original and you've managed to sum it up perfectly, so there's not much else to add here. Great job.

@Suleman Congrats! I picked these four: https://mtgcardsmith.com/view/red-rat-revolutionary-1?list=user https://mtgcardsmith.com/view/impostors-from-beyond?list=user (This one's really creative, probably my most favorite) https://mtgcardsmith.com/vi…

And here is Lorehold Liliana. We now know she attended Strixhaven for some reason, so why not to theorise about "what if she went to another college instead of Witherbloom?" And Lorehold is about your graveyard, so it made (just a bit of) sense.

So, here's white-mana Jace: I tried to still go for the mind theme but more white, so it's more about order and peace than knowledge.

Done

@Suleman @hhhggr @JackDraco please let me know which cards you want favorited (or if I can pick whichever I like)
-
@Jadefire Thanks for reminding me. Too much to keep track of at the moment. Let's judge this now: 1st place: @Suleman with World Tree Dryad (4 faves) The card that inspired this contest also wins this contest. The mechanical similarity with Path to…
