Murk's - Freeform challenge (Make contest/challenge design premises)

Hello fellow cardsmiths, we know not everyone is interested in hosting contests or challenges by themselves, even though many do. Although we'd like to challenge you to make a contest or challenge premise/objective to experiment with in this challenge itself.

So here's what we're doing.

Your Quest, if you accept it?:
1) Make a contest/challenge premise or objective.
2) Detail the requirements for entrants.
3) Make your sample entries for your proposed contest/challenge.
4) Post it all here in a single comment.

One or more of the participants that have an interesting idea, will be given a prize of one of the following of their choice...

Prizes:
  • 5 months of premium subscription to MTGCardsmith.
  • A playmat of your choice from those available on MTGCardsmith.
  • 25$ USD gift card for a card/game store of your choice. (For this choice, we can discuss possible options for your region.)
Due date will be determined based on participation, but this challenge will last at least 2 weeks.

Contest/challenge premises are able to already have been done before. Just find a idea that is true to your vision and roll with it. (You have full freedom to keep your idea for future use.)

Sincerely,

A Fox in murky waters...

  • Ill get one in soon! :)
  • Just to confirm for those that are unsure, referencing a contest/challenge link works just as well. The details above were in case people haven't run a contest/challenge yet.

Just make sure there are example cards for your contest/challenge either in there or in your comment here.

Thank you, hope you have fun with this idea.
  • spooky bump!!!
  • Ever since Time Sidewalk was introduced in the Mystery Booster set, I've always been curious about copies and token copies of spells. I wish I had the time and the energy to do such a contest, so I offer the idea to you.

    Requirements:

    - Entries must be designed around creating token copies of spells AND/OR making spells a copy of another spell. Copying spells simply isn't enough.

    - Entries can be black-bordered or silver-bordered. Meme cards and/or cards that are silly for its own sake are not permitted and will be disqualified.

    - Entries must be created for this contest. Old entries are not permitted and will be disqualified.

    - Because copies and token copies of spells are still very much explored, grammatical correctness is not as crucial. It is still very important to make your card as grammatically correct as possible, but perfection is not essential. (When is it ever?)

    - Entries must properly credit their artists. Entries that list their artist as "Unknown" or as a website like "Pinterest" are not permitted and will be disqualified.

    - And finally for the sake of originality: Entries with a color identity that hasn't yet been explored in the discussion already will get extra consideration! For example, if @Borewinnn submits their Red/Blue entry, then @Damninist submits their entry that is also Red/Blue, and finally @sorinblasé ;submits their White/Black entry, @Borewinnn and @sorinblasé ;would get extra brownie points for being super!

Here are two possible submissions for the contest:

At Her Majestys Behest At Her Majestys Behest
  • @Temurzoa
Rocking work. That's a really cool idea.
  • I'm rooting for @Borewinnn
  • @murkletins two questions

A: can I concept a contest without actually starting it as an entry to this contest

B: can I do more than one
  • @Usaername
Am happy to answer those questions.

    1) You don't need to start the contest/challenge. It could just be an idea.

    2) Feel free to enter multiple times.
