Finally got around to making a card for this: http://mtgcardsmith.com/view/lone-grovetender It probably should have been mythic, but I think it's can be seen as just a really good rare. I almost had the first ability target all permanents, but I could see the frustration as you remove two loyalty from a planeswalker every turn.
Ladies and Gentlemen. As this is a contest for a prize, we are going to have new people show up who want a crack at trying to win it. Maybe they were told by a friend. Maybe they have seen the site but never had a reason to post a card until now, whatever the case may be, we thrive on adding new members, and attacking them for entering a card is not what we are about here. This place has been called one of the friendliest card making/playing/building sites around. It was that way before I came around, and it should be that way long after all of us have gone. Our goal should be to help others make better cards, and in return, our own cards will improve. This is what makes our site stand out from other sites, so let's not focus on someone who just showed up to try and win a pretty awesome prize (believe me, with the next few events we have lined up, you're going to see A LOT more new people!) but instead, let's remember that all of us were new here once as well. It took me almost a week to make my first card, because I was afraid no one would like it and make fun of my card. Instead people welcomed me in and helped me get better, and that's what MTGCardsmith is about.
@Corwinnn I agree completely. I remember making my first card just to make it and I hated it. I deleted most of my beginning cards, except for 1, cause someone favorited it and commented on how it was a good card. That kept me going and I think it's why I'm still smithing here today! New people I feel can get intimidated by something as huge as this, and we've got to be there. Who knows which one(s) will grow to be some of the best smiths around
No worries @Gamerpg04, and also, in the spirit of fun and fairness, I've expressed to the judging panel that I did not enter this challenge with the expectation to win, and if my card should win, which I doubt since there are a bunch of good cards, I will donate my prize to the next person below me!

This went through a couple different iterations, and I still don't know if it's really up to snuff. Hopefully it holds up!
There goes nothing.
