What's yours is mine... and then some. (Thievery Contest)
"I could use that deck better than you... but you're on that end of the table and really unwilling to let anyone else touch your triple sleeved foil Emrakul, The Aeons Torn so I guess I'll just have to sit here and cringe silently as you swing with your mana dorks into my army of weenies. Accomplishing nothing."
Well, Cardsmiths, now it's your turn to do something about that. Make some cards that do my personal favorite thing in this wonderful game, steal. (really though, Stolen Goods is my favorite card of all time, even if it is objectively awful.)
Contest Rules and Deadlines:
- Your card must "steal" (a) card(s) in some way (creating a situation where you cast spells from your opponent's hand, deck, graveyard, etc.)
- There is a limit of 3 submissions, you may change your submissions at any time before the contest ends.
- Contest end date to be set
- P.S. Newer cards would be pretty cool, so, well, yeah.
Cards will be graded on:
- Balance
- Creativity
- Flavor (Art/name + mechanics and/or flavor text, space permitting for the latter.)
Prizes:
1st: 7 favorites of your choice.
2nd: 5 favorites of your choice.
3rd: 3 favorites of your choice.
Happy stealing! (Not of other people's ideas though, that's just kinda prick-ish, though admittedly super flavorful for this contest.)

The rules don't support this kind of effect of course, so I know this is a pretty bold entry ^^ I still tried to design it as if the rules were edited to support it, and went for something as serious as possible.

It's slightly off color but since they trigger etb abilities and work with exile i felt it works best with a spirit-like flavor. Along with the grave shuffle.

Entry the second:
Been in a spiritual mood lately.

EDIT: this is the updated and revised version of Confusion in the Ranks. Please judge this one instead.

P.S: You should always put a small comment under each card you make, this way you get a notification if someone hit the reply button. Otherwise, we comment but you can't know until you come back looking at your old cards for no specific reason ^^
I went all in with the interactivity. I love both interactive effects and big blue spells like omniscience and enter the infinite, so this was the first thing that came to mind.

My logic is that he's a pretty worthless attacker (unless you stack him with stuff) because your opponent is just gonna let him through. Admittedly he's a good blocker but he isn't at all hard to remove at 3 toughness. Finally, cards that give your opponent choices tend to be lower in cost because they will always pick what is less detrimental to them.
9 times outta 10 they'll just give you a Plains or Forest (if they run them) and take the bolt; not too bad for them.
Thanks for the summary!
