It has been 17 years since Esquiria ascended to the throne of Woltrunia. She is widely considered one of the greatest rulers of all time - among those wealthy enough to matter. They are the ones who gloss over Woltrunia's unfair treatment of the poor, the blatant segregation between the beggars and the aristocrats. This is a prime example of Second Age rule, brought on by the militant Izek the Banished and carried on through the rules of Gregor and Garth.
Now is the time the Third Age begins.
Magnus, Champion of the Revolution, as he is known by his people. The heir to his mother's throne, and the only remaining man who cares for the poor. Together, they will return the throne to its First Age glory - far back in the golden age before the Goblin Revolutions. It is certainly a daunting task, to be forced to assassinate your own mother, destroy the throne your ancestors worked to create.
But he always delivers as promised.
Now is the time the Third Age begins.
Now is the time Esquiria dies.
Now is the time Magnus ascends to the throne of Woltrunia.
@Thatbadmccree I am aware of Esquiria's husband having to die as well, but most of Magnus' urge for rebllion comes from Esquiria herself. Magnus doesn't believe in her unethical treatment of the less fortunate members of society, and believes that she is behind it, unlike the king, who at least has some decency when it comes to the poor. As a result, she is the main topic of the revolution, not her husband, though Magnus will eventually have to execute him just the same.
@Thatbadmccree more lore is perfectly fine. However could I ask that you fix some wording of your cards.
Esquiria should say, Firststrike.
Other creatures you control get +1/+1 and first strike.
Elzaro should say, Reach
{3}, {t}: Choose target opponent. Until end of turn, if that player casts an instant or sorcery that targets a creature you control, you may change that target with another target creature you don't control.
Eszerka should say, Whenever you or another player cast a creature spell from their hand, Army 1. Put a +1/+1 counters on it or create a 1/1 White Soldier creature token.) This is to avoid infinite loops.
Serkom should have a blue and white gold border since he is multicoloured. He should als say, {2}{w}, {t}: Put a +1/+1 counter on each white creature you control.
Could you please fix these and post the links to your cards (not to the image of your card) so that I can put them into the family tree.
@hinoisking I like the idea of Magnus however it has some fixing I'd like as well. Vigilance is usually white although you can get it in green or red sometimes. Permanent control is almost always blue and/or black. Red either does temporary control or sacs the creature st the end of turn.
Could you change it to. Haste
{x}, {t}: Put X unrest counters on target creature.
At the beginning of your upkeep gain control of all creatures with five or more unrest counters on them until end of turn. U tap those creatures, they gain haste until end of turn. Then remove five unrest counters from each creature you control.
I'll post an entry soon, just reviewing the story so far. Might be a good idea to get sort of a conclusion, or a turn in time/history after a few entries so new people entering don't have to look all the way to Tolern and Kigant.
... The Google Docs, I mean. It stops at Garth. Where do I go from there?
Whelp, I'll turn things around a bit. First and foremost, I'll be uploading the story first, then the card.
Part 1 [TL;DR's added to those who just don't have time for this blabber]
TL;DR Part 1: Shaila was adopted by Garth, who could not have children, in defiance to Esquiria's treatment of her subjects. Thus she's Magnus' cousin and only heir to Bequilim.
No matter how much he tried, through several wives and concubines of multiple lineages and races, the Protector of Bequilim did not have any children. The rage and angst born from the political pressure of being a Monarch with no direct heir was ever concerning. Whispers came from all sides, claiming it was unnatural for such a thing to happen to the son of Gregor and Gwyen, blessed with plentiful offspring on a single pairing, not to mention those who blabbered over the increasingly dubious rule of Esquiria in Woltrunia, who could use such an allegation as basis for a claim.
As Garth made her sister a visit, the state of the low-birthed came to his attention, clinging in desperation unto the purposefully arranged heavy armor cavalry regiment that scolted him away from the elvish lands of Bequilm. As political greetings and deals were struck, Esquiria received a charming invitation to race across the fields on horseback from her brother, how they used to do when they were young. At the end of said event, they made a brief stop at a local farmer community, one Garth was, surprisingly, much more acquainted to than its rightful sovereign.
As he politely introduced each resident now serving the royal pair, Esquiria cried out in annoyance. Peasants did not interest or concern her, she exclaimed, for there was no point in having her greet every single stablehand, no less such dirty, greasy-handed individuals. Recomposing himself, Garth sternly reproached his younger sibling: if nobility was what it took to make her respectfully treat her subjects, she should lower her head upon meeting his rightful, slobby, just-proclaimed and greasy-handed female heir, the once-orfan human Shaila.
TL;DR Part 2: Shaila, acting on a whim to reassure herself as heir, brought upon the rage of goblins, courtiers, Woltrunia and even her own father as she returned home with a rough, bodiless second head and a revolutionary, bodiful third.
The news devastated Bequilim's political scene. The king would have none of it, minding neither of the peasant, orfan, grown, non-Elf, outlander and female statuses of his only heir. Already 15, Shaila was amidst a hostile environment, pressured by all sides to develop into a worthy ruler or be caught prey by the sides more favorable to the elven option given in the form of the sorcerer Elzero. Studying history, she noticed the state of the long unheard-of royal branch of goblins, enemies threatening now not only Woltrunia, but also Bequilim.
During a week of festivities, Shaila took a few of her trusted ones and ventured out into her motherland to bring an end to such a threat. A month passed, and gossip arised regarding her ungratefulness, returning to the country that so much spised her, now amidst its own civil war as Magnus waged his rebellion. But what came forth was even more uneasing. She returned, bloodied and with Magnus himself as a companion, throwing before her father the head of the now aged Rindain.
Her actions, good-willed and righteous as they were intended, had deep consequences. The goblins stirred in outrage at the dishonorable assassination of their leader at the dead of night, Magnus declared to the world his involvement and how him and Bequilim's single heir now shared a bond much closer than blood, even though he only did capture Shaila as she fled the goblin's wilds and Esquiria fell in disbelief, through her eyes now facing the betrayal of her son and her oldest sibling, not to mention incoming closure of her kingdom, surrounded by all sides.
Part 3
TL;DR Part 3: Struck by the repercussion to her deeds, Shaila falls under the spitting words of an unknown force, only to be interrupted by a spark.
Garth not only was pressured by his court, but by his own judgement, and declared the public punishment his heir would receive in face of her actions. The scars left from the hundreds of whips would mark Shaila for as long as she lived. Although those ran no deeper than the influence, creeping under the small resistence upon utter humiliation, of dark, whispering thoughts. As days followed, no longer could Shaila discern those sayings from her own, losing herself in the process, until a flame ignited.
She stepped through mountains of dust and wasteland. There was nothing left of the world she remembered. Unaware of her shift, true death was before her eyes, as a giant, formless form consumed through the golden sun that shone upon the dreaded land. She repulsed it, wanting no closure to such a force of mindless destruction. But other than fear and denial, something else arised. A wish to defy. To bring down that massive force of annihilation. To deny it of its existance, for sheer power.
Her visit was brief. Suddenly, back she was to Bequilim's courtyard, were shame was expected of her before all, though she had none to offer. Responding to the vile influence that briefly left her, she proposed a meeting, more incisive and meaningful than the once orchestrated. The demon appeared before her, unaware to the change, and was consumed. Not killed, but fused in essence, now part of the soon-to-be heir, betrayed and debaucherous, with newly-found powers of persuasion and transfusion of flesh.
Okay so Eszerka told Esquiria about Magnus and now Esquiria knows that Magnus is trying to assasinate her and she sends a assasin to kill Magnus. But Magnus got away and now Esquiria's men are looking for magnus in the woods when magnus suprises them and kills them. so Esquiria learns why her elite soldiers are missing and sends her sister Eszerka to kill magnus. So they duel and Magnus cheats death yet again and then Eszerka reports that Magnus escaped yet again so she sends her elite combat army lead by Serkom. They find Magnus and some of his men and totally out number them 5 to 236 but Magnus somehow escapes a last time. Serkom decides he can't let his Wife down and lays a Tracking device on Magnus's back. He lays the first ever tracking device in Woltrunia. When Magnus finds out he tries to pull it off his back but since they technology on the tracking device's stick he pulls of the tracking device but it's too late Serkom and his men are already there and blows up his Hidout.
Prt 2 of Magnus: So Magnus's cave was built to with stand explosions and so he survives and escapes fleeing woltrunia. -----> 20 years he comes back out of hiding and no one reconizes him except Serkom so he alerts the royal police and they cuff Magnus and send him to the dungeon. then he escapes and flees forever.

Serkom
Eszerka is the sister of Esquiria. Eszerka learned her skilled fighting techniques from Esquiria. Eszerka is leading a army to assasinate Magnus after she learned Magnus was trying to kill Esquirua. Serkom met Esquiria when he was visiting Woltrunia before Esquiria was queen and married Esquiria.

Also, the "or does he" gives away any merit about the denial of him surviving.
