I decided to give everyone an update on the contest by listing the cards I've accepted into the contest to help trim out the fat, so to speak. I'll list them by color combination so that newcomers can see what hasn’t been done and I’ll also show the entry list in the first post on this thread so that it’s one of the first things you see. If you don’t see a card you posted on this thread on the list of entries, then that means I could not accept it for whatever reason. HOWEVER, that also means that you technically have an empty slot for that card, meaning that you can make a different one to replace it. So if you made, for example, one card that was accepted and another that was not, then you are still allowed to make 1 card for the purposes of this contest.
Also, while I’m here, I’d like to say that I very much like Animist’s Low Blow card - very straightforward and I like the flavor that comes with it. It does strike me as a very G/B tactic to weaken your opponent then force them to fight.
@TrippleBoggey3 No, it didn't. Dunno why nobody's said anything for a while. Sadly I can't accept this, as I said in the first post's rules that I wouldn't be accepting W/B cards since Batwing Brume is already a thing.
@TrippleBoggey3 It's an interesting card, at the very least. I kinda like that you HAVE to cast it from the graveyard because of the effects it has. I do like the card overall as well and it's good...but it appears you've either remade it or deleted it because the link up there is dead. @Cnatch It isn't. I really like it and the tap-control flavor that it has going on. And that flavor text....*snrk* XP
@yousmelllikeapumpkin Fortunately, you do not need to concern yourself with it. @Tutlaschk I can, but could you please provide a link for the new version?
@RugaQwarrcall - Nicely done....now I wanna know more about the other guilds' methods of clearing land. Really well done flavor text to do that XD @Mila - I like it and I especially like that the guy looks like a villain but he's a red/white card instead of black. It's good to see white being used for less-than-savory applications as well. @VinylVantasy - I can see this being a bit too powerful but I like it enough to include it in the contest regardless.
Though I would like to point out a thought I had about both Reshape the Soul and Metal Mage: The abilities seem almost totally separate. Oh, they're definitely appropriate for each color, however one adds +1/+1 counters and the other draws cards. They don't seem to have a lot to do with each other.
This isn't me telling you to make a new card - it's still a good effect and I like it and I still accept it into the contest. It's just something I noticed and wanted to kinda bring up in case anyone reading this wants to make their own card for the contest.
@EmpathNaga Thanks for your feedback. You're right, both powers are separate from each other, but I chose to design the card this way for flavor reasons. The guy looks like a villain and can certainly be. That's the res part of his personality. On the other hand, he is strong and can use his strength to protect other creatures on the battlefield. That's the white part of his personality. This ambiguity is there to show, that he's an instrument in the hands of the one who calls for him, that is, in case of mtg, the player to go all meta. That's why he is a Warrior Wizard, two types, that seldom go together and appear both on this card to express the ambiguity again. That can also be found in the artwork, that shows an acting, dynamic person, casting spells and ready to attack. On the other hand. It seems to wear a mast or even is a construct, wich is hard to decide, 'cause you can see no face, but only metal, that could be armor, or the stuff, the construct is made of.
@TrippleBoggey3 Hm...well, I was going to give my verdict on the land but it appears to have been deleted. So I believe that means you've chosen which cards you want to submit?
@koover - I like it! Strong without being OP and cohesive! =3 @TrippleBoggey3 - Maybe. The main reason I didn't say that I'd accept any lands is because, well, they don't have mana costs. But I suppose if you managed to work it into a tap ability that isn't too strong (it's something that'll be potentially activated each turn, after all) then I can accept it.

I didn't realize we could make something other than an Instant...

Good luck to everyone and Happy Smithing!
Hopefully it isn't too overpowered...
