  • @Mila
I'd like to replace "Angelic Guardians" (as it isn't a creature) with this:

Intended for a Grixis Unearth strategy using lots of Hellspark Elementals.

@Mila Thank you (on both counts)!

    Replace Ossien Peon?
    image
Yes, this card's set symbol should resemble "dragon horns".

Here are my new entries. The three gods would have weird subtypes but there isn't room. The creatures you need for them to be creatures would be the subtypes if there was room.

i.e. Sarabel would be a Cat Stag God.

  • Ok, boys and girls. I'll start judging today and let you know, who won about tomorrow I guess. Same old thing so far: I enjoyed all your great and really creative entries. That's what I love about making contests. Choosing the winners feels less good, since I don't want anybody to feel like he or she 'lost' because you are all far from that. No more entries please, but watch out for a new contest to come, if you missed this one.
  • @Mila
*Almost* forgot about this contest but nope ;p More seriously, just checking if everything is alright ^^
  • @ningyounk well, despite of not having judged by now, everything is alright. sorry for the delay, I'll do that soon!

    Am I too late?

  • OK, you had to wait for quite a while, but now, I am ready for judging. Here are the winners:

1st: Chosen of Todir by @TenebrisNemo
That's what I wanted to see. Fungus Knight is a great combination and i enjoy the mechanics. You deserve being seen among the top three.

2nd: Beckett Brass' Familiar by @Bellycuss
Another card, I loved to see. The great artwork and the combination of creature types together with the rules text makes this cart quite flavorful. I can see that little guy stealing stuff from his opponents, biting their fingers, if they don't give him, what he wants. And it's a pirate bird! I love it.

3rd: Host of Neheb by @Faiths_Guide
This card is one I'd like to play in several of my decks, especially thinking of my minotaur tribal deck. Seems to be realistic and flavorful, well chosen artwork and cool mechanic. I'd not ask any questions when finding this one in a booster.

Since I found even more cards, I'd love to give credit to than in the other contests, I made, here are some honorable mentions. What a pitty, there can only be three top three. Choosing them over so many other cards really isn't easy for me, so I hope, you all feel apreciated.

All honorable mentions may choose a card to get a favorite.

    Celestial Unicorn by @Corwinnn
It's an Angel Unicorn! To make decisions even harder, I even like, what this card does... Not having this among the top three was partly motivated by knowing, that Corwinn knows, he's a great cardsmith and we all love and respect him :) I wanted to give the credit of being top three to other great cardsmiths

    Cladecall Titan by @Beeswax
Another great card that really fits this contest. Very green and well balanced. Unfortunately, I found so many good cards, this one has to be content with an honorable mention.

    Strange Companions by @ningyounk
Very flavorful and playable. It's also well fitting with color identity and the chosen set. That's why I think, this card is really great. I have nothing more to say.

    Rotflesh Slime by @Stormtide
That's card I'd like to have in my zombie tribal deck. I love the mechanic 'cause it seems to be exactly my style of playing. I'd even download it to use it as a custom card to try it in a deck, if you don't mind.

    Spider Cart by @koover
Spider Construct Horror! That's really one of the most creative cards I saw here. I enjoyed seeing, it has reach to embrace it's spider part and it is colorless for being a construct. Quite powerful, but it's power comes with the fitting mana cost. That makes this card another candidate for top three, that missed being among them by a hair.

Gozo, The Cursed Vizier by @Beydin13
I like the synergy with plaeswalkers and the option to return it from the graveyard, wich makes this card very playable, especially in current standard in my oppinion. Again, well chosen creature type combination and a perfect color identity match. Good work!

Well, that's it for now, You see, I sticked to a quite subjective way of judging and hope, nobody feels like being treated unfair. This contest was the hardest to judge for me so far, because I tried to take your creativity as well as the mechanical quality, flavor and the 'realisticness' into account. Thank you all for entering

  • Oh, don't forget to claim your rewards!
