From my Counter Strike mechanic set.
Newest wording:
Counter strike (Whenever this creature is dealt less combat damage than its base toughness, it deals the source damage equal to the difference.)

I noticed a lack of non-creature cards in this contest, and a lack of lower-rarity cards too. So I set myself the challenge of making a low-rarity, non-creature design. Some very helpful community members left feedback and this is the card we created together.

I... really don’t now how I thought of this. I’m fairly pleased with the end product, though.
I was happy to see 29 different cards submitted for this contest. However, three cards were so well-made that they earned their own places in the top three. Those cards deserve all the glory they can get for defending their respective realms, but there's also two other good cards that should be mentioned...
Honorable Mentions:
HM#1 - Energy Shield by @EmolgAn
Little spelling mistakes in both abilities, but it's a sweet card nonetheless.
HM#2 - Mindleeched/Mindslaved Guardian by @SteampunkDragon
Quite elegant for a Phyrexian card, even though it could have needed a little bit more adjusting. The flavor is spot-on as well.
