@Tomigon Nope, unfortunately this creates priority issues (your opponent can tap their land to counter your spell). A recent card with priority issues was Mnemonic Betrayal, you can see they dealt with it by exiling the cards so your opponent can't activate things in their graveyard when you try to steal them. If you really want to make it work, that's the kind of things you're going to have to look for Maybe you can blink the land until end of turn?
@ningyounk The way it's phrased currently, the lands are tapped during the process of casting the spell (CR 601.2h specifically). The person casting the spell would still be acting with their own priority and the opponent wouldn't be able to respond to any actions until the spell is cast.
@DomriKade Yeap my bad, you can't tap them in response. Actually the fact that I got it confused is the perfect example of why you must never ever ever create a card that produces a situation where multiple players can fight over a spell or ability's control. That confuses people. If you use your opponent's resource, make sure there is no doubt that they can't even try to use it or you're going to get a lot of frustrating situations. Once again, I recommend looking at the M-Files for Mnemonic Betrayal. They even considered preventing your opponent from doing anything to avoid priority fights. It doesn't mean that the card wouldn't work on MTG Arena for instance, it just means that most players would screw it up while trying to understand how it works. Really, that's not material for a mechanic you put on several cards.
@Temurzoa I like it. On flavor with Dimir, confers a good advantage, but one that you have to put in some work for. I like that its keywords lend itself toward triggering its own rules text.
@Credius This card seems overpowered, to me. It shuts down aggro too efficiently. If I were to re-write this rules text, my thinking would cause it to be so:
Enchant player
Enchanted player may skip their draw step.
Whenever enchanted player draws a card, deal 1 damage to each creature and planeswalker on the battlefield under their control.
Whenever a creature dies as a result of this damage, enchanted player loses life equal to that creature's power and you gain life equal to that creature's toughness.
@Mallwan... I, don't actually know what to say there. That card is borderline a perfect MTG card, yah know? I'll definitely opt to fave it. On my end here though, my next card up for judgement...
@TenebrisNemo, a brilliant, well-designed card. I would just change the name because it is too Lovecraftian, which is more blue/black. What about something that summarizes an event? Like "Exodus of Mortals"?
Hey I'm fairly new als done a few cards already. I would like to get some Feedback. I mostly play Commander so my cards are mostly based around that. Some cards might not appear very serious but I always tried to wright the abilities as authentic as possible. Thanks in advance.
I love Mnemonic Betrayal as a card, so I decided to make a commander around it. I specifically made it just a Wizard because who knows what Irikul is. Thoughts?

Yeah, 'tap out' thing is the issue.. I'm trying to fix Dechujoh64's mechanic ( http://forums.mtgcardsmith.com/discussion/comment/95816/#Comment_95816 ) without making a big change to the concept, but it seems difficult.
Anyway thanks a lot!

Here's mine. Feel free to ignore the name inspiration altogether, I'm only looking for feedback based on the way the card operates.
Edit: Here's a second one, if anyone would like to weigh in.

Wouldn't it make more sense just to put Undying 3?
Also the wording is giving me a headache
On the other hand, I don't think my commander is half bad
