Tommia Set Challenge: Old Dogs, New Tricks
Please read everything before you enter!
Today, it's time to teach old dogs new tricks as we dust off our old MTG Cardsmith cards... along with some old cards from MTG itself! Here's the rules:
- If it's off MTG Cardsmith, it must have been made 90 or more days ago.
- If it's an official MTG Card, it must be from before Magic Origins. Cards reprinted in Origins or after, it counts as being from Origins or after.
- If the MTG Cardsmith card is not yours or anonymous, ask the owner's permission!
- The card must be balanced.
- Post the name of the original card and its source (if it's not yours) with your entry, or it will not be accepted.
- Make any changes you feel necessary. Think of how to make it better. Just so long as the concept is still there, it works.
- Proxies (cards that have been remade without major changes) are appreciated, but not praised. Try to make at least one change. Is the card balanced? Are there worthless abilities? Any abilities that would fit well on the card? Any way to do what that card does better? Think about it.
- By entering, you agree to allow me to remake your card for my set, making any changes I see fit.
- I can fix mistakes you make!
- Limit five entries a week. They can be all at once, or one at a time.
- If you made a mistake so drastic you can't live it down, feel free to fix it. You may only resubmit each entry once.
- No anonymous entries.
There will be ten winners. Here are the prizes in order from first to tenth!
- Five Favorites, card remade, remake featured on "Random Cards" my personal critique set; I will feature you in my set!!!!! (I will make the following for you/your faction: Rule [go to my set to see what a rule is], Charm, Command, Flip-walker, Land, Influence.)
- Five Favorites, card remade, remake featured on "Random Cards" my personal critique set; I will feature you in my set!!!! (I will make a flip-walker for you, choose two of the following: Rule, Charm, Command, Land, Influence.)
- Five Favorites, card remade, remake featured on "Random Cards" my personal critique set; I will feature you in my set!!! (I will make a flip-walker and a rule for you.)
- Four Favorites, card remade, remake featured on "Random Cards" my personal critique set; I will feature you in my set!! (I will make a legendary creature and a rule for you.)
- Four Favorites, card remade, remake featured on "Random Cards" my personal critique set; I will feature you in my set! (I will make a legendary creature for you.)
- Four Favorites, card remade, remake featured on "Random Cards" my personal critique set
- Three Favorites, card remade, remake featured on "Random Cards" my personal critique set
- Three Favorites, card remade, remake featured on "Random Cards" my personal critique set
- Two Favorites, card remade, remake featured on "Random Cards" my personal critique set

For anyone who doesn't win, all honorable mentions will get a favorite from Tommia and could still be remade; only cards in Tommia contests get favorited by Tommia!
