Common Card Challenge
Fair warning: I don't have a reward for you guys this time. Except maybe the card you make. :P

Every so often, Wizards releases that unfortunate common (coughTreasure Cruisecough) that gets banned, i.e. Preordain or whatever. The challenge here, is to make a common rarity card that borders on overpowered (coughTreasure Cruisecough), except won't be banned in the Modern format. The link above might not be a good example, but in some crazy Legacy deck someone will brew in the future will find a way to Coalition Victory with it (thanks to Brandon Smith). :I

The deadline is my birthday, the dreaded 13th of April. (Free fact: I was born on a full moon and a Friday. :I )

Tax Day!
Oh. I guess I don't count. Life of a not-so-average genius-minded teenager, sir. Fourteen is when I believe I become part-adult and part-teenager, if my assumptions are correct. I've actually been here as a lot of different forms (two, really), and took a one-and-a-half year break from the site because, kids, being kids, think Magic is like Yu-Gi-Oh! and Pokemon. (retches)

I don't see how the card borders on overpowered; you are simply shuffling your library for an unpredictable result, and possibly for a worse draw.
The challenge here, is to make a common card that borders on overpowered, except won't be banned in modern.
So technically, we're talking about the Modern metagame, like UR Burn, before TC got kicked out.

I think you mistake my humor for an insult, but as you haven't had the pleasure of having to take care of your taxes every year on that date, it's not really relevant to you yet. Sometimes I forget that this site is full of younger half-adults! Happy upcoming birthday, by the way!
I always do my taxes in January, but an amazing amount of people actually wait until the very last moment to take care of theirs (usually because they have to pay money) Which is why I said that people dread April 15th so much more... That's the day they go broke!
lol, I guess that's a lesson I'll have to learn that in the future. (Also, what you said isn't really an insult.)

Siren is already better than Oculus, and Manashift makes it reasonable. Painter's Servant would make this a hatable and accessible deathtouching two-drop for monoblue.
