I don't know exactly whether the deadline means I can or cannot enter. assuming I can (and if the card works, which I'm still not quite sure about,) here it goes, http://mtgcardsmith.com/view/vara-violet-assassin-1
@PiJoeG Thanks for your entry. But your card doesn't use 2 Non-Evergreen Keywords. Also, you forgot to shuffle after searching. If you want to fix it, please hurry!
Oh, we can do three entries? If I can slide in under the radar, here's entry No. 2 and No. 3: Ethereal Eidolon Amphibious Mount Edit: If the time has passed, please do not consider these eligible. Sorry to push it up to the minute!
"Empty the Graves" by @fabiocbinbutter (Dredge + Delve) http://mtgcardsmith.com/view/empty-the-graves?list=user ^Nice idea of using those two abilities! To be honest, I'm not good at evaluate the power of dredge cards. But I feel like this is underpowered. Sorry if I'm wrong. Hahaha.
"Penniless Outcast" by @NicoStoner (Tribute + Haunt) http://mtgcardsmith.com/view/penniless-outcast?list=user ^Very interesting idea! You can let opponent choose when the effect will be triggered. I like the cards that forces players difficult choices! But I think the mechanic can be more simply explained if it doesn't use keywords. Still cool concept though!
"Raging Elemental" by @starwars05 (Tribute + Persist + Evoke) http://mtgcardsmith.com/view/raging-elemental-1?list=user ^Same thought as NicoStoner's card. But this card is more interesting, because you can choose which cost to cast. And also because the mechanic involves with counters. But the card is a bit too powerful. Also, it's a shame that the wording is incorrect because the card is such cool.
- 5th place "Eldrazi Learning" by @ChaseTheHuman (Rebound + Buyback) http://mtgcardsmith.com/view/eldrazi-learning?list=user ^Congrats Chase! Nice idea in balanced card, I think. If only you've chosen better art and name.. you could have been in the higher place. But that's only matter of my taste.
- 2nd place!! "Compleation Contraption" by @AustinSmith (Living weapon + Evolve + Graft) http://mtgcardsmith.com/view/compleation-contraption?list=user ^Delicious card! I also like the flavor of this. It is like Phyrexians discovered the studies of Simic guild.. which is somehow likely to happen!
- 1st place!!! "Obsidian Volley" by @Grimshac (Kicker + Wither) http://mtgcardsmith.com/view/obsidian-volley-9?list=user ^Most of the entries are using synergies of keywords' effects. It was very fun to see those ideas. But Obsidian Volley is something different. What is actually making it a good card is not a synergy, but an effort to make a balanced card by using those keywords. I didn't want to see cards that look like they are forced to be created by the idea of using two keywords. I wanted to see cards created by people who have good skills of using keywords. Just like Obsidian Volley!
Congrats @Grimshac! You are the next judge! --------------------------------------------
Thanks for your entries everyone! And sorry if my English was wrong! I'm so impressed by varieties of cool ideas you showed to me. I recommend you guys to check out other people's cards too!
I am super honored to have won. I actually set out, and worked really hard along with Cryptonight, to win this particular contest, but sadly I do not have the time or energy to run another contest alongside my circuit contests right now (Which I can barely uphold right now due to having been sick in the past week).
I would like to extend the invitation of hosting duties to @AustinSmith or @milanaarz instead, hopefully either of them will accept!
PS: 10k thanks to @Cryptonight - The card would not have been this great without him as a wall to bounce ideas off of (Though he's more like living foam that takes the old ideas and spits them back out in your face as a new idea, ha ha), it was great fun to work alongside another cardsmith in that fashion. And also thanks to @AustinSmith - Wither on the card was originally his idea.
so basically, other people did my work for me, and I just took the credit! zing!

^Again, I'm not good at evaluate the power of dredge cards, honestly. Sorry if this is too powerful or too weak. But the idea is very clever!
- 3rd place!
"Coalsteel Juggernaut" by @milanaarz (Modular + Monstrosity)
http://mtgcardsmith.com/view/coalsteel-juggernaut?list=user
^Brilliant idea! Card looks well balanced. I'd run this if I build machine army deck! That'd be really cool!
- 2nd place!!
