I have DQed your entry - I can respect standing your ground on a card, but just like Suicidal_Deity's card, most colorless cards in Theros could find a colored home if need be. Let me know if you remake.
Odd, I don't seem to have ever gotten a notification about the ending, despite the fact you tagged my name. Either way, I will add them when I end this contest too.
Even if this doesn't make the cut, it still fills a gap that Theros left and that, was my mistress, Lady Discord: http://mtgcardsmith.com/view/kayus-agent-of-strife Yes I suppose avatar could be a euphemism for God, but don't even go there. She won't be labeled by such things as "god" or "euphemism." She wouldn't even be a "legendary enchantment creature" except that you requested a non-silver border card. So she makes due, introducing strife where she can.
Sorry that I havn't put up the winners yet - I am still ill and I'm not quite sure when I will have find the strength to judge, as soon as I get well I will get it done.
There won't be a weekly contest this week. Wednesday I will post one, with results of this posted at least a day prior to that.
Hey guys! I am finally here with the announcements of the winners of this contest - Truly sorry about the delay, but I did not have the energy the past week to take care of anything outside the most basic in my life.
Anyway, from 4th place and up!
Coming in 4th... @Tomigon with Karametra's Hidden Tree The card refers to an already-existing Theros figure, making the flavour a win - The reason it comes in fourth and not 3rd or 2nd is that I personally don't feel it catches the mechanics of Karametra completely - It DOES have some of it, don't get me wrong, since it adds G to your mana pool, but the +1/+1 counter seems a bit out of place - While Karametra herself trigger of off creatures, I would've thought that her "hidden tree" would somehow be able to be "tapped" for mana or "bear fruit" like a storage land or something? I can see arguments both ways, since +1/+1 counters are synergistic with creatures, but Theros didn't deal much in +1/+1 counters outside of Heroic. That said, the card is beautiful and simplistic and winners 2-4 were close by only inches.
On third place, @MrRansom, with Pelia, Wary Queen While we have no former knowledge of Pelia, she solidly puts her foot down through her flavourtext, as a fierce character who does not let things get in her way. The effect on the card is a typical hoser-type effect, and flavour-wise, we must conclude that Pelia may not find herself too fond of the gods or the plane of Nyx (She shuts down Bestow, Arbiter of the Ideal and Ashiok, to name a few) - I could imagine seeing her as a character if we ever return to Theros. She is based on a real character from the greek mythology and her flavour is spot on. She does feel a bit "plugged" in to Theros, but if she had some support commons/uncommons I could see her being a solid character.
Second place! @DomriKade - with Underworld Hoplite This card speaks for itself, honestly. The flavour is great and we're presented with a "risen" Hoplite, leaning itself to Erebos/Athreos part of Theros. Mechanically speaking, it uses Heroic, like most hoplites did, and presents us with a reasonable way to obtain the deadly combo that is first strike and deathtouch on the same card. Once again, I must say that 2-4 were super, super close - Underworld Hoplite just jumps that inch ahead because it offers a "solution" to a problem that people have entertained themselves with for quite some time, which is putting DT and FS on a low cost card, and I think it was done just beautifully, all while preserving the flavour of the card through great art and a flavourtext that links us to official MtG lore.
And finally, at first place, @Superman101 with Bane of One-Eyed Pass I believe it should come as no surprise to anyone that this one landed in top four. It is simple, and flavourful. It fits perfectly and it truly feels like it could have been in Theros - Which it almost was, in the incarnation of "Cyclops of One-Eyed Pass" and the card is a throwback to exactly this creature. Superman101's version, however intended or not, is in many ways a "fixed" version of the card, and it really speaks to the Spike in me. With that said, I could see why some people might find the first place a bit controversial as it might look like a "copy" of an already-existing card, but I strongly believe that he took a concept and improved upon it quite vastly so. With both trample and haste, we truly get to experience the fierceness of the cyclopes, all spun into a simple common.
No honorable mentions this time around, keeping it short and sweet.
@Superman101 That's really cool to enter contest with such simple card. Congrats!
Thanks @Grimshac for hosting this contest! May the gods heal your ill soon ..wait, theros has no God of Healing ..but Karametra does I guess. I've heard a legend about that.

Thanks to @Suicidal_Deity for assisting in judging!
Congratulations to all the winners. New contest and updated circuit coming up shortly.
