I am trying to make a mtg commander deck irl what booster box should i get for roughly 100 dollars if my commander is Borborygmos Enraged?

  • Buy singles. It'll be cheaper in the long run.
  • I already have my deck I just need to upgrade my commons and uncommons and some rares or mythics.

Just do a search on a search site that supports searching for commander identity and maybe narrow your search parameters from there. You can also consult other decklists that people are running to see if there is anything they are running that you haven't thought of/come across. Buying singles is definitely better than buying box unless you really are jonesing for a box. Then I'd buy one that has the greatest value so that whatever you don't use for your deck you can use to trade for what you do want for the deck.

And for bobo enraged, you want snake umbra and variants and abundance. And naturally life from the loam.

    Pfft, Crucible of Worlds, yo!

    Expensive, but we'll worth it.

And yes, buy individual. Especially if you're looking at common/uncommon. Super cheap that way.
  • I concur with the others. You best buy singles.
  • @Suicidal_Deity you've apparently never been killed by a bobo enraged going "Niv-Mizzet infinite" through abundance and snake umbra/keen sense shenanigans. It happened the once, now I know what to look out for.
  • Just go onto EDHrec, look at the most played cards for it and other cards you have, and build a deck on TappedOut. Then buy all the singles you need. And it is NOT worth it to buy crucible of worlds @Suicidal_Deity. It's so unlikely that, in your hundred card deck, you're ever going to draw it. You can buy a decent whole other commander deck for the same price.
