During the war on the realm of Nagana, there were five entities. Lortenrad, the Earthshaker, Phalendra, the Harbringer, Gormadon the Isledrowner, Khalingraf, the land itself, and Yrandul, Lord of the dark and disease. These five were practically gods, and were worshipped by those from all walks of life. However, when the war was looking like a stalemate, they became involved. Lortenrad commanded those who wielded the flame, Gormadon commanded the sea, Khalingraf raised the earth as mighty beasts, and Phalendra aided the righteous. These gods were capable of crafting physical forms for themselves and charging into battle. However, while a light can shine in the dark, one cannot simply bring the dark under the gaze of the sun. Yrandul sickened a dragon that retreated into its lair, and after death, possessed its corpse. Now he could spread death and disease firsthand. . .

http://mtgcardsmith.com/view/tacita-mors-hunger Their children hunted for ages, the gods of the wilds decided that it was the hunters turn to know fear. Tacitas-Mors plan was simple. Slay all hunters using the memories of all their hunts. Beasts they had slain would have another chance to strike their hated enemies. All he would need was time... and a god has all the time in the universe.
Quick overview- At the young age of 8 is when it was first discovered that Kranus, born to lowly peasants, had dragon blood running through his veins. He was immediately whisked away from his parents and his grooming to become king begins. Having mastered his dragon abilities and after coming of age he assumes the throne of Clorendahl, ending the 100 year reign of Stewards. Not long after his rise to power he begins to show his ire for the Elven race. It is written that 150 years ago the Elves feared the power the Humans possessed with dragon magic and so allied themselves with the Dwarves to bring an end to all Dracons. Tensions again begin to rise, and while the Elves seek to align themselves with the Kor in the north and the Gnomes to the west, Kranus looks to a much darker alliance with the hags and horrors that inhabit the darkest regions of Havenmoor.

She was defending Bala Ged (see http://mtgcardsmith.com/view/jungara-zendikar-spokesman) when it fell, and she went crazy after the Eldrazi won and remains on Bala Ged, shooting at anything that moves.
