  • Since I do generate many many contests, people will often PM me requesting contests.

    - Sorry, I didn't see your comment about Dragon Maze. Can you add me to that PM group? I made 7 rooms for that maze.

    - I'm not sure "irresponsible" is the proper word because I'm not good at English. What I mean is you are not a good judge.

This is your announcement of winners of "Completely Normal Civilian"
These are "your comment" and (my thought)
    -----------------------
"3rd Place: Tomble123 with the Sheperd. I forgot the cards name Sorry."
(So.. you have chosen winners without downloading or adding set/favorite all cards.)
"2nd Place: MrRansom with the singer. I love how the card's flavor worked, but I feel 1st place was just better..."
    (Of course. You'll see why..)
    "1st Place: Tomble123's Extorionate Shopkeeper. "
(OP. And it doesn't shuffle btw.)
    "@Tomigon It's okay"
    (._.)
    -----------------------
See what Corwinnn had to do after your announcement. I couldn't help but think you've chosen winners almost at random. Please don't do judging when you feel lazy or busy for doing other contests. And please don't use hall of fame and trophy if you decide winners like that.

    - Sorry, "contest token generator" isn't a nice way to talk. Well if you can answer to requests, my request is "Please do only one contest at a time and spend more time in judging."
  • @Tomigon, Thank you for your advice. See, I started playing only at Theros and I'm not too good with card balancing and such, because most abilities feel the same to me since the effect is the same. In other words, I don't lose, so I don't understand too well the concept of OP.

If you ever want to judge my contest, feel free. I like starting contests, but I'm always in trouble when I end one.

I'm making the second Dragon's Maze when I have more time. Currently, my pro team has been taking a lot of time, and I have ugh... 3 school projects.

    Thank you.

Your a really nice guy! The community is blessed to have you in it!

I like starting contests too. And I'm always in trouble when I end one as well. You can ask other person for help. But I think accuracy isn't the most important thing in judging. None of us is perfect. The most important thing is how respectful you are to participants and how much effort you put in judging. @Grimshac does even playtesting. If you experience all these things, I think you'll know that "fame" you get from good judging is the biggest prize. I'm sorry if I'm wrong, but I can't feel it from you..

But the most important thing is having fun. If you think you made an awesome card, you are already a winner. You are giving people many inspirations to make interesting cards for sure. I like your enthusiasm:)

@Tomigon, Thank you! I will try to try harder in judging.

But I have a question - What if I want to post a set in the Hall of Fame? Do I just post the link?
  • edited September 2016
Hall of Fame is not only my place, so if you find another good way to showcase the winners, you can do whatever you want.
Just post the link is ok, but I think it's nice if you put some cards that really stand out in the set.. because set and/or cards in the set might be deleted.
  • @Tomigon, Thank you for your ideas and support. And back to the dragon's maze idea... I guess I didn't ask you about it because I didn't think you'd take part. I'll check with the rest of the people, but I'll try to start round 2 in about... 6-7 days.
  • @TrippleBoggey3
If you do Dragon Maze part 2, we need to give people more specific information about the game. Actually I didn't quite see what you had in your head in part 1. I don't even know how you decided the winners. That shouldn't happen again. I can give you some ideas for the game, but it's going to be a huge project. So I won't help if you are doing other contests. Also I don't know how much I can(or I want to) take time for that. Once again it's going to be a huge project. And I think people can't catch up easily, so I don't know how to held contest for that project.
  • @Tomigon, I think I put the criteria for judging on the thread... Did I not?

Anyways, when would you like the Dragon's Maze 2 to start?
  • But still, thanks for all this help.
  • @Tomigon, Also since this is a chain, would you like to be part of the Dragon's Maze project?
  • @TrippleBoggey3
    - "I think I put the criteria for judging on the thread... Did I not?"
I saw your thread again, but I don't think that's a criteria. Actually I didn't understand what to do. Sorry if it was only me. My result was "didn't work well together." If you said that synergy in the set was important, my submissions would be different.

-"when would you like the Dragon's Maze 2 to start?"
When your all other contests were finished.

    - "Also since this is a chain, would you like to be part of the Dragon's Maze project?"
I have an idea, but it's an idea for the game. Not for chain contests. Sorry:( Also, my idea is very different from yours. So I'm not sure if you like it or not. Currently all I want to do is giving you my game idea..
  • @Tomigon, Thank you for your ideas!

    @Tomigon, @Corwinnn, @MrRansom

You guys were the most active people in the contest, so...

I'm planning on starting it on Wednesday Night, and I have 3 ideas:

    1. Start a whole new round
    2. Call it Round 1 B and make a bigger maze, and then put all the original rooms into that one.
    3. Any other ideas?

Also, what kind of maze do you prefer?

    1. Tight rooms
    2. Many Hallways
    3. Caves

Also, what size is good? (1-997 rooms)

Should I add a theme? (Dungeon, Castle...)

    What shape is good?

    Doors? Deadends? Actually maze-like?

Also, some idiot closed my game discussion thread, so when I make a new round, I'm putting in another game discussion thread.

    Any more ideas?

    @TrippleBoggey3
It's your contest, so I'll leave your decision to you.. As I said earlier, I have an idea for the game. Not for the contest. I'm not interested in the contest so much.. sorry.

If you are going to do the contest, I want more specific information about the game. So that we actually can know how to play it. Not only in imagination. Then we can know how you decide the winners.

In my opinion, planning all these things need more time. Wednesday Night is too soon. If you are interested, I can explain my game idea. We can play it in Untap.in. Do you want to play it?
  • @tomigon this is thread for contest ideas, not mtg ideas, so it's easy to be confused

    @viola
You're right. Sorry. I'll use PM or other thread. But the reason I wanted to give him a game idea is because I think it might help his concept for his contest.
  • Here's an idea: A Krampiszman Card remake challenge. Remake a card I made!
  • @krampisZman Are you implying your cards aren't good and need to be remade?
  • What a savage!
    xD
  • Okay, so I have a new idea:

    A contest where it is...

    @Corwinnn vs @Tomigon (Might as well throw in a @Beeswax and @Faiths_Guide.)

It could be that the 2 of them compete against each other and we just cast our bets.
  • That battle often destroy a planet so I wouldn't recommend that.
    Sorry! XD
  • Ha ha. This explains my massive amount of notifications. Forgot this was my thread.
  • That, and we keep typing @Suicidal_Deity in all the threads...
  • @Suicidal_Deity, Your back!!! Not that I know you in the first place...
  • I don't know if any of these are already contests, but anyway:

    Remake a past legendary card/planeswalker.
Make a card of a character who hasn't had a card already (E.G.: Urza, Ashnod, Mishra, ect.)

  • Yes, they have been made.
  • @TrippleBoggey3

    you're*

Yeah, kinda back. Won't be as active as I was back in the day, but I am hoping to jump on periodically. One of the main downsides, I won't be doing any contests in the foreseeable future.

Also, nice to meet you. I'm like a more immature version of Corwinnn. Ha ha.

    I had a thought... Which I've retracted.
