Slash Panther Challenge
Hey, NicoStoner here. I haven't created a challenge yet, but I figure I should at some point. I've been bouncing a few ideas through my head, and this idea came up first. Obviously, this challenge is modeled after one of my favorite cards, Slash Panther. It may not look it, but but someone won a tournament with Slash Panther. 4 of them. In VINTAGE. Yet it has never seen play in any other format. This kind of unintentional design fascinates me. So on to the challenge!
RULES:
1. Your card must be vintage viable. The key here is to fill a specific niche. Slash panther is the cheapest creature that can be cast entirely for colorless mana that can 1-shot Jace. While very narrow, it does this job incredibly well.
2. Your card must be printable (No black lotus 2.0), preferably close to being unplayable in any other format. The goal is to create seemingly unintentional design intentionally.
3. Credit artists if possible. Try reverse image searching in google if you have trouble.
4. Have fun!
WINNER PRIZES:
Honorable Mention: 1 favorites on the card and one other card of my choice
3rd Place: 1 favorite on the card and 1 on 2 other cards of my choice.
2nd Place: 1 favorite on the card and 1 on 3 other cards of my choice.
1st Place: 1 favorite on the card by me (and 1 by the trophy account if possible) and 1 on 3 other cards of my choice. Also, I will follow you.
I'll try to give advice on all cards submitted. Good luck!
The contest will end in 2 weeks, 3/25/16. Judging will be done by 3/30/16

as long as no one else enters!

People always assume there is a counterspell waiting if their opponent is playing blue. I wanted to try and see what would happen if they knew there was a counter spell just itching to pop. Then I added in an additional counter with the bounce.

yes I do! enter soon before this challenge closes!
Honorable Mentions: None

This really didn't really fit the challenge (Wouldn't see play in vintage at all, though it is printable), but only you entered, so...
1st Place: @kauyon http://mtgcardsmith.com/view/vehement-moss-beast
An interesting card for sure, and one that would be very strong in a standard environment. However, in vintage, given the large amount of mana from other sources, land destruction, even for this powerful and cheap, isn't too crazy. Still, it has a better chance of seeing play then either of Corwinnn's cards, so you win.
Favorites will be awarded accordingly.
