From Un-Set to Core Set Challenge
Hey, NicoStoner here. My first challenge seems to be dead, but I will still judge it if anyone participates. In the the meantime, this challenge will be based on the card Timmy, Power Gamer. ( http://magiccards.info/query?q=Timmy&v=card&s=cname ). This card, of course, is from Unglued, a joke set. What's fascinating, however, is that the design actually proved to be intriguing enough to base an actual card, Elvish Piper ( http://magiccards.info/query?q=Elvish+Piper&v=card&s=cname ), off of. So on to the challenge. Your task is to create an actual card based on an existing Un-Card, taking the core mechanics from that card but remaking it in a way that makes it printable in a normal set.
RULES:
1. Your card must be based on a card from either un-set. While you can interpret being "based on an un-card" in any way you wish, keep in mind I'm looking for transfer of mechanics, not flavor. Most of the final judging will be based off of how well you transfer these mechanics, and how interesting the final card ends up being.
2. Your card must be printable, so don't give it an un-vibe. Make it have a reasonable power level as well, so nothing OP.
3. Credit artists if possible. Try reverse image searching in google if you have trouble.
4. Have fun!
WINNER PRIZES:
Honorable Mention: 1 favorites on the card and one other card of my choice
3rd Place: 1 favorite on the card and 1 on 2 other cards of my choice.
2nd Place: 1 favorite on the card and 1 on 3 other cards of my choice.
1st Place: 1 favorite on the card by me (and 1 by the trophy account if possible) and 1 on 3 other cards of my choice. Also, I will follow you.
Feedback will be given on all submitted cards. Good luck!
The contest will end in 2 weeks, 3/29/16. Judging will be done by 4/3/16

Got my idea locked down. Gonna be based off http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?multiverseid=9844 and its mechanic.
"The staff itself is what brings my corpse life... and gives me power. Oh how I wish to die again, and oh how I wish to bring death to others."
Here's his Cursedlife Staff: http://mtgcardsmith.com/view/cursedlife-staff
Once it settles on a host it bends their will to match its own.
Using this for inspiration: http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?multiverseid=9844
You must have both halves in hand to cast and if either dies they both die :P Mechanically sound I think.
Turns out that it works well with (and looks good alongside): http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?multiverseid=271386

Oh wait, that's still as much of an unglued card as before XD Oh well!
